Very creative song. I'm listening to a great concert of all your songs ...loving it.

I tried a big ole dreadnought thing…
holy cow......I hadn't heard this one before! Gorgeous!!! That Fender did it's job well. Absolutely love this. I think this one is perfect as an acoustic version.

Wow!!! This song did not age ....it is gorgeous. Truly beautiful and I love the complexity of the melody and how it moves about. I imagined hearing it live at a concert (I'd be in the front row!).

OK, this is a bit of a departure for me - posting songwriting demos.
This is a one mic recording made this morning in the living room, touch of reverbs…
First time hearing your stuff. After the first song, I love your writing. I'll be listening through what you have posted for the rest of the day!
Completely agree with RPM. I do enjoy it, however this year, my focus was more on songwriting and having fun. Production took a back seat.

This one's been sticking out of the shoebox for a long long while. It always shows up in a list of maybes. And it did this time…
she will smother you with all her love

I keep dipping into your stuff (I'm very fond of Gormenghast as well, I've even got some songs knocking around somewhere that are directly inspired by it), but this is the first one I've listened to closely...
You guys are growing on me - you've got something that makes me keep coming back, and it's not just Mr Peake!
Faved :-)
Superb version.
I found the album in my parents' records when I was 14 or 15. This song almost took me down the "Bob Dylan" route, but I managed to avoid it in the end(!) But it's always been one of my favourites.
It's a difficult one to do justice to... but you've managed it apparently effortlessly :)
This is another composition from the early 90, and also a bass line. I added some arrengements to it, and it was, eventually, the third part of a long 'spacial' suite called 'Mars'. I could upload the 'part one' bass line one day, which I think…
I wasn't too sure of this when it started and I read the "about"...
But after 5 minutes I found that I was still listening and that I was likely to stay til the end.
Well put together. For me, it does what you set out to do. Fascinating and strangely calming, all the way through to the end.

Inspired by a picture of my sister at the top of the Estes Cone (I was too out of shape to get up there myself... something I need to do when I return to RMNP).

On the top of the world
Nothing 'round 'cept mountain…
When the girl in the room is just too cute for me to concentrate on whatever it was I was trying to do.
Anything Done
How am I supposed to get anything done
With you looking like that
I'm so far gone
I'm forgetting where I'm at
How…
Another formerly poorly recorded song... Really a piece of poetry that was put to music (a hit-or-miss approach for me that seemed to work well on this one).

I'm gonna have to set aside some time to listen to this entire Lobster Man album. What have I been missing?
Love the lead break on this one - right in yer face.
A frightening thing, to go from being a man to becoming a Lobster-man.
Now Gather around me hearties
For I've got a sad tale to be told
Hoist the colors ye bilge rats
The call rang out, we were off for gold
Grog in our bellies, horn-pipes…
If you'd described this to me I'd have said it'll never work...
... but it does!
It's one of my least favourite Beatles songs (and I'm a big Beatles fan), this has made me reconsider it as a song in itself. Nice one.
Oh good grief, this is just fabulous.
I've gotta go now, but I saw you getting a lot of comments last night, now I know why I'll be back check the rest out...
This such a good song/performance/recording... Loved it.
Really enjoyed this. It started up after I was listening to something else, and I looked at 7:07 and I thought "oh dear"...
But I never pressed stop! It kept my interest going all the way.
Woo, this has something going for it. I'm listening in headphones, so the initial fizzy synth tones were a bit scary!
I love the rhythm and the interweaving melodies. Really, really inventive stuff. On the second listen I almost felt like it was too short - so I had to listen one more time!
A cover of the Cure's minimalist alt-rock classic, an old favorite of mine.

I'm ashamed to say I don't know much about The Cure - I was a blues-rocker by the time they emerged, I liked some of the singles and videos, but that was about it...
I really like what you've got going on here, though.

I must take this train after hearing this song! What a great song :)....deserves a second comment.
Absolutely beautiful! Warm and an interesting narrative :). Loving it!

I think I dated this one. I like the guitar lick. The song really moves along well.
I can feel that being a great Rockin' song .....
That's a great song in the making ......
A little bit of magic ...
Very good ..... afraid the 80's are so far away for me ..... old age ;)
Top notch my friend ....
An enjoyable listen, and a little different.
This is beautiful.
Poignant, affecting. Something everyone can relate to. I'm glad you were able to revisit this old song, and I also hope recording it was cathartic.

Funny I don’t get stalker vibes but I can see if one knew the backstory that might be the outcome. Another great piece of writing!!
Sparse and beautiful
This is a good listen.

Like it. Good song, good performance all round - still love her vocals! Excellent recording/mix.
Wow... this is a stunner... a complete stunner.
Another excellent song/performance. Your voice, guitar, and songs just hit the spot for me.

This is one of my all time favourite songs (though I've never heard The Band's version). Great cover - love the backing vocals, really effective.
