I had your FAWM playlist going and sort of forgot I was supposed to be active listening, but this one pulled me right back into it... then I saw your liner notes. I know the feeling of not being happy with something but needing to get it out, but this is great. I'm curious to see what you do with it, because I think it works far better than you it seems. You better close the stadium with this one, because all those lighters and voices in unison are going to violate some sort of by-law.

I'm a little perplexed at the narrative, but oh what a great narrative it is. That second verse paints a pretty vivid picture, although I'm a little unsure that being denied pastries is an apt consequence, but then Ive never had a Chelsea Bun.

Congratulations on the FAWM "win", especially with only 23 days to do it. A great start as well. I share the sentiment on production. Part of me wants to do RPM next year because I wonder if I had too, could I move fast on production? It sounds a lot more exhausting than FAWM, that's for sure.

Well sir, you smashed this challenge - and ended up with a stunning unplugged album. It's made me want to hear some of your established tracks with similar stripped-down arrangements, leading the listener to concentrate on the sheer artistry of your words and astonishingly soulful vocal. Next challenge for you is the 24 hours album. 24 minutes of original music in 24 hours. I believe it originated on alonetone. Off you go.

Great song writing - loving the sentiment and your tender vox here. I love it when the FAWM and RPM parameters draw out his kind of track, any more of an arrangement would detract from the message - IMHO.

And this one brought me back to the alonetone window as well - gorgeous. And again, the title Enticement was perfect. The music had already put the image of someone I know in my head... and "enticing" and "enticement" describe her perfectly.

I'm listening to your tracks while I'm emailing in another window. Loving it all. This one made me come and have a look - I'm so glad it's called Home. I very much like the concept of "home", always have, always will.

Oh this is wonderful. It's woken me up (7am) and relaxed me at the same time.

This one's really growing on me. And I didn't notice the story behind it when I was first listening (although I suspected something along those lines from the song itself). A sad tale, but a gorgeous song.

Yeah, this one rolls along real nice.

The "Ahhhhhs" (Sleeping with the Ghost)- it's just patience, close mic-ing and using your "head voice" (try and sing as much like a girl as you can lol). And then for "harder" sounds, "wail" at it. Lots of voices with uniform performances produce "smooth" and "rich"; less and varied performances (as in not the same everytime) produce sharper sounds. Mix the two up as necessary in layers. Also think about recording the "breath" in the notes as well. You're actually getting VERY close to it with the vox on here - think about using different tones of voice and it will all become clear :) Also there's a bunch of EQing tricks - a cut at 3K (Q 1.0) on the bvox will increase the breathy, soft sound (and keep them out of the way of the lead).

I am hopefully about to post, hopefully today, a remix of it - the mess-up on the EQ has always p1ssed me off so much. For me this version isn't anything like it should have been. What I've got sat upstairs on the desk waiting for me, same performances, is a lot closer... But, that's just me, so I'm gonna leave this one here in case anyone prefers this approach (and I've got various links pointing at it that I can't be bothered to find and sort out!! lol)

Now, you see what you miss when someone isn't "followed"? lol This is fab too. Actually, I don't think I've listened to anything of yours since mebbe a year or so back on songcrafters. Well, I'll be back later and check it all out.
