Back in the old days, I used to seek out artists who played the smaller venues so I could hear music like this. This song brought back wonderful memories - a small place, smelling of spilled beer and cigarettes and perfume....and that wonderful performer playing the blues. Very well done.
Thanks for your kind comments on my RPM effort. Love this tune, nice guitar work on this (and Bodybag) but I especially like the lazy, atmospheric vocal. Nice one
Reg was talking to Elvis about Frank and he told him something he didn't know.you can have it all then at the end not remember it which is what happened to Frank the grind ground him down a sad ending for a great man......Dementia is a cruel end…
Reworked the vocals a bit (quite a bit). And yet again! And now, Gumbo Stu is singing backup bits. Thanks for the vocals Gumbo, a very welcome addition!

You can blow me up

My first attempt at a Blumlein or Mid/Side recording. This one is actually a mid/side recording as I used a directional mic in combo with a figure 8 ribbon mic set at 90 degrees from the main mic. Thanks to Pat Broaders for the loan of the ribbon…
This track is from the 1986 Scartaglen album "The Middle Path". The first tune "Jezaig" was composed by Breton musician Gilles Le Bigot. The second tune is one of the "Cantigas de Santa Maria" and is attributed to King Alfonso X of Spain

During therapy Reg has had a break through thanks to another visitor to the cellar another friend of Elvis's Pavarotti .........then Reg thought the orchestra was too much so he sacked them and just left pianist to accompany the vocalist.......
An unusual traditional tune from the first Scartaglen album way back in 1984. Going through stuff the other day and ran across the LP and couldn't even remember the tune or having recorded it. I played guitar on this track
Comments on Lil' mar mar's stuff
pretty cool.
I can feel my feet on the side of the road, kickin' up a little dust, hitchhiking my way back into the infinite west.
Very cool, I love the harp and the vocals sound like you really mean what you are singing. Great trad acoustic blues sound.
Cool to listen you .......
Very clever! Liking your laid back vox and arrangements.
