this was an accidental song. I was making another song for which the main two loops of this song were simply the ending. The first of these loops is so visually stunning, I just knew It was its own bar.

This is a great debut for you at improvFriday, good to see you there. As you know I've been trying to cross-pollinate between alonetone and IF, and it seems to be working!

what I meant, really, is that I liked the way you felt free to play around with limited materials in this track (and others); and the different colors coming out of one chord is what made me think of Stimmung. It's all about the ear, and you have a good one, rather than theoretical knowledge (though that doesn't hurt, despite what some folks say).

f the gd established system, banker [we're just going to replace this statement made thoughtlessly in 2010 with a "this page left intentionally blank" notice]
This song makes me smell belches and dog drool (dog belches?)
I hope that makes everyone FAV this until it hits the top of the "kicking ass" list. Because who doesn't love dog belches?
Sorry about this. I'm not sure if there is a way to send messages on here without commenting on a song...
Anyway, I was being sarcastic when I said the name explains it all. I come up with the names to my songs on the fly. Whenever I go to File > Save it's whatever comes to my brain.
Re: Lugnasadh ~ Thanks for the feedback mate! :D It got you up and dancing? Maybe you dropped a pill? ;) I went to a psytrance festival a couple of years back and this track I made in Reason around that time. I remixed it in Logic this year to iron out what I felt where it's initial shortcomings.
sorry about that c}{imps, was the bass that loud? I need to test these songs with real monitors some day. Or at least a set with sub woofers. hmm your songs is not playing. Was going to comment on it.
i was trying to find a way to message you on here sorry i had to respond on your songs comment area we have a different setting for auto tunes and we add a Coriss effect to it. to give it a sort of wash effect. i love our setting. its not TOO T-Pain/ Norm =) thanks Glad you like it
The best thing about effects in my mind is not knowing a f*cking thing about them - I don't have time to play with the settings. It either works for me or I move on to the next one.
It's almost like you are going to break into "Who are you" at any time! Cool!
July 2023 REM (record every month) .. Challenging month for music ... My Hospitalization didn't help ... hopefully back on track .. with more tunes .. check my YT channel for video.. Thanks for listening
This piece is somewhat programmatic, somewhat expressive. I wanted to tell a story of moving from a dark place of drudgery and powerlessness to finding courage, strength, purpose, and joy.
Created for the Record Every Month challenge for July…
Starting off sounding much different, this has undergone considerable transformation in Audacity to reach the form in which you hear it now. Drone from a window a/c unit and more jackhammering from the other side of our building.
In my head
All the time
Relentless
Tieing me down
In my room
Now and forever on repeat
It won't leave me
I reject those who help me
I'm ashamed:
You think me weak
It's lasting then
Did I mention
It destroys me
All of the time…
Song idea number 20 is finished song number eight of 50 for the 2023 50/90 challenge.
I really like the vibe of this one, simple and basic with a cool groove, but I HATE the vocals. The melody, the lyrics, and most of all the performance…
Song idea number 12 becomes finished mix number ten of 50 for the 2023 50/90 challenge.
I don't hate it, but the lyrics are laughably bad and there are some really bad pitches in the vocals in the chorus that were copied and pasted all over…
Mike's fun rockabilly follow-up to Scammers, Spammers, and Cons from a previous RPM Challenge.
We recorded the drums, bass, one rhythm guitar track, and a scratch vocal take live off the floor, then added the other guitar tracks and a clean…
Another lovely song from Leum. He's prolific, that one is!
It was fun to collaborate on lyrical tweaks for this one, working together to tighten up a solid draft into a rich, compact song.
For recording, we used a couple of condenser mics…
Finally got around to connecting several electronic items on my side desk - Kawai R-50e drum machine from around 1995, Fostex X-18 4-track tape recorder from a couple of years earlier than that (I think), a Korg volca keys from 2021, and a handful…
Time was when I used to see you hiding
Your face so clear amongst the crowd
Time was I could sense you in the same room
As if you'd called my name out loud
Don't kid yourself, you've not got ESP
Your face so clear amongst the crowd
I'd…

Thanks for the comment. Some of your music...I'm wondering if you are just f-ing around or are just a genius. Can't decide, but I like it.
