Voice modified by EHX Stereo Memory Man, with a setting that I really haven't played with much for the simple reason that I don't understand it much. That hasn't really changed, but it was kinda fun to play with. Submitted to Sound-In "Changing…
A friend asked me,
"Don't you have any happy songs?"
So I wrote one!

James Michael Taylor , have loved this song from the first time I heard it. Like so many of your compositions, it's refreshingly straightforward, simple and playful- characteristics all too rare in many relationships.
Peggy taught me an Eagles song toward the end off our life together. I think it was NEW BOY IN TOWN. (I had no idea what she was telling me.) I took the chord progression from that song and wrote this. Peggy said that was cheating.
WATERMELON…
One of my favorites of yours of all I've heard, Jim. Melody is so pretty and chord changes unusual. Guitar intro, so pretty, as is the whole song. Sweet story, and sweet song. I can relate to the adult child who wonders at her/his mother's girlhood love.
This is my adaptation of a poem by Rosemarie Kempton.
"I always felt that it was fitting that you turned the poem I wrote into a poignant hymn that captured the feeling of loss of a loved one. My words sprang from my attempts to understand…
Two tracks of 17 notes per octave (17 edo) guitar with effects.

First completed solo project after a years-long home recording hiatus. Recorded into BandLab running on an old iPhone, which is a surprisingly fun way to work.
A sense of Roxy Music in this and for a home recording has a very nice present feel Ben. Congratulations on new work after a year long, it happens, sometimes as in my case with another muse coming to surface. I'm glad you returned! Thanks too for your recent listen to my ukulele piece and the kind words.
Lovely melancholy and lyricism btwn recover and take ii with tongue and cheek intensity in Prayer, all interesting and my first hearings of your music in all this time on Alonetone Sudara. Thanks for this and for what you do in providing Alonetone for all of us with no expectations. Thanks too for listening to my track from Good Friday recently and the kind words. I am in turn and nice to hear what you do as well.
I found a CD with a lot of my old songs on it, many I have re - recorded and are on here. This one I had forgot about. The Good Wife does her bit on it.

The other night I was sitting out watching a little fire in my backyard, and thinking about how useless it is to let the past dictate our present and future. This one is dedicated to all of us with relationships in our history that have no place…
Beautiful singing and great accompaniment!
I’m working my way—slowly—through your songs here and am taken with your clear, precise singing voice on every one. You put that ukulele to good use too.
Also, thanks for your kind words about my stuff the other day; it means a lot!

growing intensity! Good to hear from you again Ben (at Sound-In)!
I worked with Rosemarie when it was first published. She gave me a copy of the sheet music. I’ve had all these years. So happy I did.
fallout vibes
Hypnotic and casting spells. Thanks too for your recent words re my ukulele piece Jim.
This is cool with an occasional nod to a reggae beat. Your bass parts are very pronounced and on the spot and the reggae beat has returned.... Police!

Please don’t send her my way!
Beautiful imagery presented by your two voices. Very nice..
Think you should be weary of that Bunny Boiler ......
Marcie Brooks James Michael Taylor another profound poem/song.
Thought provoking and full with our human fraility.. The presentation was moving.
Marcie Brooks Lovingly sad yet hauntingly beautiful
