Hey I caught this from the RPM page. Great tunes! cool angle. I also submitted some tracks (https://danielhornell.bandcamp.com/album/ten-years) Would you be down to collaborate sometime? East coast to West Coast. I think we would make some pretty sick music. .... Daniel Hornell danielhornell@gmail.com

2022 Song of the Week - Week 7 This is a little better effort. I might come back to this one and make the transitions to and from the break a lot cooler.

After the seance in "Voices From Beyond the Grave", our protagonist starts having bouts of sleep paralysis and wonders if this is just in their head or if it's the spirits and demons that are causing this. RPM Challenge 2022

Test recording of voice modified by a EHX Voice Box on vocoder setting; the modulating signal is the sound from a one-string instrument made from an old crutch. Post production involved adding two copies of the original mono track, panned slightly…

Jim it's great where things that you will utilize become such potential instruments. The higher linear voice is cool and exotic here. Good piece!

Am I allowed to comment twice? So tasty. This could easily be one of the best songs I have heard in a few years.

The calluses from all this bass playing are coming along nicely! This is another RPM song (song 6) where I built the song from a little bass riff. The lyrics include some quotes and/or references - pick them out and win a prize (ha ha…

My 7th song for the 2022 RPM challenge. This one is a bit more pensive and slow moving. I always love adding harmony. I was thinking of Bjork (who I love) when I wrote it. I included some flute so my sister can play along next time we jam…

Ohhhh, this I like a lot! I hear the Bjork, but I'm also getting a lot of a Sade vibe during the verse, which is a peanut butter and chocolate combination that I would have never expected. I want more!

Song 9# for my RPM 2022. I don't know how it happened, but I ended up with a bit of an alternative quasi-delta blues here. I walk a lot of country roads at night so..... The harmonies were fun. Thanks to anyone who listens! Onward…

Dig the variety of styles track to track with your voice being the only obvious connective tissue. This is a nice take on the Delta Blues style, clear influence, but it doesn’t seems derivative or like a pastiche.

This is really interesting. Beautiful harmony, and I like how light the production is without being simple. BTW, thanks for the listens and comments. I just kept on cranking away on FAWM, but I appreciated them.

Beautiful. It's interesting that you can look at the visualizer and SEE where they first find each other. Your album is really the highlight of this year's RPM for me.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments Ricia!!! I'm so glad you liked these pieces because I was really feeling mixed on these and it's great to get feedback like this in the last stretch of RPM! Also, if you're interested in more piano stuff like this, this album by h hunt was my main inspiration and it's just lovely all round: https://youtu.be/wXj7YHcrOeM
