Still playing with my _Neurotik_ sequencer made using Max for Live. This one turned out a bit strange. I was actually using it to drive Kontakt with cello & violin patches.
It was sort of interesting but not quite working when I dropped CamelSpace…
Last one for today, promise. Two Old Friends - again from 1983 and created using 2 cassette decks,4 channel mixer, Fender Mustang, vocals. Lyrics by Evan Harrington.
Two Old Friends
Leaves bear mark of the changing of season
Soon to be crushed…
The birds of the east wind sits on top of the cathedral looking down upon the commoners while a tall, dark haired prince sits alone in his castle with a violin in his left and a cello in his right. A red carpet roles out as Queen Lori majestically strolls toward her overprotected son. All of the eligible maidens come from the surrounding kingdoms to grovel at his feet and sing him praises and compose computerized sonatas. A stout, blond, curly-haired servant comes in to serve Prince Thomas a feast of royal magnitude. The stink-eyed servant watches as Prince Thomas eats every morsel of the feast. The servant gets enraged and leaps upon him, swallowing him whole. The servant belches and Prince Thomas's head is scene for the last time, only to be swallowed again. And though his body was engulfed, his legacy remains.
Had these backing tracks laying around on my drive for a while and didn't know what to do with them, so grabbed my Ebow and a fretless electric that I built for myself a couple years ago and had a go. My fretless playing is really in its infancy…
This is a rough mix of a track I did with the one & only Norm Harris. I've got some vocals in mind, but it may take some time to put it together, so meanwhile here's the instrumental version. Big thanks & major props to Norm…
This space ambient track was inspired by Andrei Tarkovsky's 1972 science fiction movie Solaris. The musical theme (and the title of the track) comes from J.S. Bach's organ piece "Ich ruf’ zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ" (BWV 639) which was heard also…
I was reading this profile on MySpace and was impressed with this girl...really impressed. It's all there in her BIO. Masters degree and five languages. The part about using gender "stereotypes ironically" etc is an exact quote.

little aprupt ending but nice!
I'd like this in 24bit/48, can I play with it?
I like this - it's very immersive. It sounds like it should be the score for some 2001-esque space movie.
pretty fucking cool!

This is Great!!!!
wild one .
very strange and cool
Real nice folksy tune. It has a bit of CSNY in it. I'm waitin' on the vox man. Saved, Fav'ed and turned to wav.
~Silencio on the station Solaris. Gravity is temporarily disabled. And only you, my "Ich ruf zu Dir, Herr Jesu Christ"~
distorted spots were confusing in order to discern exact melodies but that might of been the idea...
this sounds like something I did, well the guitar work when I altered it in cubase. It is really nice to hear similar stuff in other places!!
very expressive hypotheticals and they are really beat wise in thought developing with the sound tensions .. nicely worked - in other words
the universality is quite satisfying, special breath effects could be more intense ,, Maybe..
Heheh. Classic JMT.
agree with Bethan, great short build up at 2;10. Good tune
great song to wake up to this morning !
Djeez, what a production... so hard to follow and keep track... nice drony piece again...
Strange. It stops at 0:32 while it claims to be 3:40, care to check?
Great song! Kept my attention all the way, even if this is not the kind of music I usually listen to. Good stuff!
