I had some lyrics describing a late nite cake baking experience kicking around. If I have a lot on my mind, dirtying every dish in the house seems like the right thing to do. I stole some cool percussion from Norm and went to work. I also…

@Reefwalker: Well well well, a muffin man, eh? A pretty bold statement from a guy that I have seen wolf down a great deal of cake. But, in any case, finally I can answer in the affirmative: Yes, I know the muffin man. Muffin man. Muffin man. (I won't finish the rest as I know you are kind of protective about publishing your address).

Just great stuff... I have that tendency from time to time to forget that music is a performance art, and that there's really nothing like live music. Thanks, Kirk, for putting this up!

All right... So I closed the album with the fun songs (note to self... next time START the album with the fun songs).

All right, so one of those silly songs needed to find its way onto the album. In an effort to teach the students on my middle school team about rhythm in poetry, I wrote this little bit of foolishness about a fictional character (so yes, you…

Just updating all the songs from "Keeping Constant Motion" with versions that have the vocals a bit more up front... Just had to favorite this one. Of all the songs I've ever written, this one and "Amy Pond" are the most requested... Just goes to show that silliness in songwriting often speaks to people more than seriousness.

Cool bouncing groove, with interruptions that are so interesting they almost interrupt my breath - slippery punchy syncopated chords - all kinds of melody everywhere - the way the sounds sit in and around each other - really, really fun!

If you have the fever and the only cure is more tambourine, here it is. MORE TAMBOURINE SOLOS!! (But you should probably wait until you have the house to yourself...)

This is a microtonal Jazz-ish piece produced with some newly developed techniques. Norm Harris provides the excellent percussion. I probably could have made it easier on myself by not being so chromatic… but there it is. The piano, bass…
