Intriguing, this sent all sorts of visions scurrying around in my brain. Eventually the visions centered on late night shadows dancing in a beautiful woman's apartment, where she sleeps after a long night dancing... the shadows try to imitate her graceful tango steps, but keep failing miserably, tripping and bumping into things, but always trying to imitate her grace. Sort of a dark comical scene.

I found this while doing some clearing out. Its the only demo me and a friend Ben Price recorded when we were briefly looking to form a band in about 2005/2006. Listening back to it, strained vocals aside I kinda liked it so thought I should give…

Mark Morriss has written some really witty triple rhymes in a slightly country fashion, and I wanted to try it too. Although I am not sure if I succeeded, I had fun - and got…
05 – Officer’s Mess (March). Written and recorded 2nd Feb.
This is as close to beat-boxing as I am able to do. I can only apologise for the smutty pun.

(Gah! Just nipped to the RPM site to pimp you, but it seems the thread's been disabled. Thwarted! Bah!!) This is without a doubt one of my top 3 RPM album pics of this year. Absolutely packed with wonderful song-writing, cleverness and great production. Witty and cool.
08 – Feeling Confuzzzed. Written 19th/20th Feb. Recorded 20th Feb.
Come on Wembley, let’s see those hands in the air. As poppy as they come, including plenty of la la las to sing along with. I was very pleased with my Harrison-style slide…

More upbeat shenanigans, this time attacking someone’s who’s off the cuff remarks are pre-prepared (and written as crib notes on their cuffs).

This works very well. Dreamy guitar - and cool, clear vocals (and I love that talkover bit! Recently I've been trying to use spoken word in a song or two but it never sounds right).
This is my 12 hour song (written, recorded, mixed, mastered) ... I pined away all day at it while a storm kept me company.

Alex! Great tune, like the guitars too!
Damn, this stuff is soooo good! I am a fan! And am now doubly gutted that I couldn't get a babysitter in March.
