Here is a John Lee Hooker Song that Buck and I used to sing in Duluth. We were playing in a group called *"THE LARRYS"*
I love Bucks harmony on this!

Recorded Last Friday - I sprung this song on Mark Imsdahl while we were playing music together.
I thought he did pretty good for never hearing the song before.

TRUE STORY
Here comes Ernest he say how you want your eggs
Don’t matter what you say to me, don’t care how much you beg
This here is my damn place and you are just a passing through
You’re lucky just to be alive cause I don’t care about…

This is Fun! We may have to do this again in a few weeks.
I'm planning to sing this live tomorrow night at the Rosemont Jam. Harley will be playing bass. We could use some harmony if you are free.
I wrote another verse, subject to approval and Tweaking:
Broken Windows throwing stones
I don’t know how to heal these bones
I tripped and fell hurt more than my pride
If only my woman was by my side
I’ve been down this road before
I found myself on the cold hard floor
I picked myself up and carried on
Now my woman, now she’s gone
Honey I’m comin, home to you
A broken man, who’s sad and Blue
I need you back, and I’ll be true
Honey I’m comin home to you
I’ve spend my life, in foolish ways
Makin bad decisions, and then I pay
And it hurts me more, than you know
I’m Comin home again, broken so
MORE WINE!
Once in a nightmare
I knew you then
I think we were related,
I'm not sure
maybe we were strangers.
We'd look in windows and climb
the trees that grew,
and if it'd rained outside
we'd take off our shoes.
And when I'd see you
I would…
I remember a long time a go, there was a band called "It's a Beautiful Day". They had a song called "White Bird".
I don't know why, but this song reminds me of that sound. I love it.
Very retro sounding guitar too.

Here's my last studio effort of the summer, as we roll into fall!
I wrote this one earlier in the year sipping mojito's at the proverbial beach bar and then posted it here.... I thought I'd give it a little sprucing up with the help from my…
This song is a improv guitar with some modifications in audacity.

Wow . . . Talk about involking images. This is neat.
This would make GREAT background music for the "Talk Like a Pirate" Challenge going on right now.

Here's the second song I recently decided to do with a studio recording from one I wrote and posted here a while ago as a purely vocal version. It's one of my favorites.... I hope you'll enjoy it too

Well here's my contribution to the Pirate challenge from Robert Palomo. I think you'll agree it was time to call it a night on this one, but it was a lot of fun writing and recording it! Hope it gives you a chuckle or two.
Why Do Parrots…
Arrrrrr . ....... I started me morning out right for a change! A great listen and a darn good chuckle.
That damn parot in the background was good entertainment and the perfect balance to you lilting song.
I KEEP MY RADIO ON
I keep my radio on
From sunset to dawn
Keeps the spooks at bay
Scares them all away
I keep my radio on
I guess some folks got no problems
Some folks got no regrets
Don’t know how they do it
I’m not there yet…
You always have the most refreshing and honest songs!
I once had someone call me selling a security system. I told them "I don't need it." They will only come in here once.
Geas sent me this tune for National talk like a pirate a day so we took it down the cellar and luckily Robert Newton was down there so we got him up on the stage and got him to do this little number......Hoping Yee enjoy eye arrh…
I decided to pick a few chords at random, just like that, wrote them down and then somehow tried to make a melody with it, no idea how, but it worked :-) I then added some lyrics et voilà...here's the result. A quick "just for fun" project. I…
I wrote this song about 2 years ago and shared it here on Alonetone back then. I decided to do a studio recording of it recently. With the help of the team at F5 Soundhouse here in Minneapolis we've created this updated version. I hope you enjoy…
Ken sent me over this AC/DC kinda backer and asked if i was interested in doing something with it and i sure was ....Heres' what we came up with Thanks Ken for letting me warble on this.....SHE SER MY BLOOD ON FIRE
six foot one with those dark…
Miles Away is a very simple guitar riff and lyrics that match, but it's a song that came from the heart of one of the band's members. It's kind of a tune about a newly married couple...like most Prood songs it was recorded after one or two rehearsals…

Refreshing . . . . You have a great style.
Holy Cow !!!!!!!!!!
Outstanding Colleen! All three of these songs recorded at F5 Studio are excellent.

I like that touch of adding new instrument voicing at different times of the song. It freshens everything up. Well done.
Tranquil and inviting! The loop that comes in at the end is a great idea, but it distracted me from the easy listening.
. . I Love It !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is GREAT Fun.
It's hard to pick a favorite, but this just might be it. Well done Colleen!
