The sun is shining on me

I’m living in the city
Singing…
Sometimes it comes down to the simple pleasures of life.

I hadda go and play this after a long day with very light lunch, right as it's getting to be dinner time. Working in Prague this week - now I gotta find me a Czech greasy spoon. It'll be beer, not coffee.

In memory of my Friend who was bigger than life, and an ego the size of Lake Superior.

Remember when Rick was in his office and Jim dropped his pen on the floor.
Jim had to lay his head on his desk to reach his pen.
Rick thought he had a
heat attack and was afraid he may have to give him mouth to mouth. Of
course Rick told the story so good he had us all cracking up.
I still miss those days. Great group of people. Super One was growing so fast and
everyone's sales were way up and we just had fun. Is Rick retired?

Just a few stories recieved on email regarding our friend:
Eric always tells the store about when Jim was trying to get into his
little Buick Skylark to go to lunch. Of course because Jim was so big he
had to hold on the top of the car and lower himself in. Well Eric decides
to wash his windshield and shoots washer fluid all over Jim while he's
stuck trying to get in the car. Eric had to pay to dry clean his suit.

I've been thinking lately of all the stories about him. Like when I would take him out to lunch. He'd order some big thing like the broiled trout, toss salad with oil and vinegar and more.
Then the waitress would look at me. I would say "I'll have what Dad's having".
He would erupt claiming "I'm not your father you Bastard!"
Good Times ... Good Times! I still giggle when I think about some of his antics.

Big sound, you still have the touch. I wonder what you are doing the other 11 months of the year (more a statement than a question). I hope you are writing, performing or something associated with music. I always enjoy hearing what you produce.

Really nice. Great acoustic guitar work, nice vocals. Evocative lyrics that fit the music well. Well done!

Your music always sounds like you guys are having a GREAT time. Lots of little surprises in this one.
Nice to hear from you, it’s been a long time and you are right … we have enjoyed Alonetone for many years. Happy songwriting!
Two keepers on the same day. I think you said these came from the vault. I wonder what else is in the vault?
This is a great and positive song. It reminds me of my 4 year old neighbor. Her father could be my grandson. That 12 string really sounds good!
Beautiful and restful. I think I'll go get a glass of wine and listen again.
Ahhhh ... the blues!
I'll bet there are a lot of people who can relate to this song.
Beautiful piece of music. It’s remarkable what you can do with software.
Beautiful song John! Great message.
Well done! A fun little piece of music.
This is fun! I love loopers too ❤️

Well done! I enjoyed the line "empty Bottles and a pile of unwashed plates" I'm pretty sure she is your valentine.
This hits home. You got me laughing. It’s all true!
Wow! I listened to this last night and again this morning. Lots of emotion in here. Well done.
Interesting texture to this.
You still got the touch! Nice song.
This is pretty neat! I can definitely feel the waves on a calm sea.
Ohhhhhh ... another masterpiece. Great imagery creating visual pictures in my mind all the way through. Excellent start to a new year of songwriting!
Nice work Tilden!
