I had been listening to the new Massive Attack album for a few weeks, and I was initially trying to mimic some of the sounds I heard on there - especially from the songs "Splitting the Atom" and "Girl I Love You." But, then somehow the whole thing…
The idea was to create something with a bit of the flavor from Bach's Passacaglia in C Minor (and especially the orchestral transcription by Respighi). I didn't quite hit the mark, but it was a really fun project.

This something I put together pretty quickly. But it reminds a little of the stuff they play in between news stories on NPR's radio show, "All Things Considered." Dear Robert Siegel, please play my song on the radio :)

I chose Honky Tonk Prison because I knew it would rock and roll :)

Sometimes you need to stay up late to try to force yourself to dream.
When I wrote this song (and started singing it a bit), I knew that my voice could never give it what it needed... So I turned it over to one Sister Savage... And she did…
This improvisation (chords, melody and lyrics) is complete fiction and any resemblance to anything at all is just a coincidence.

You don't even know me - Skeen Remix 120611
Met you in a cocktail bar
That look you gave me from afar
Made me wonder if we'd share
A little fun and some Alpine air
Made me wonder if we'd share a lifetime
You're my life-line

Sloane did me a favor & played an electric guitar part on this one. I had hoped to work with her more on this project, but she wound up leaving town to help take care for a recovering family member.

I have loopitus. it's contagious so be careful.
I'm having fun with it. Like puking in the toilet and pretending I'm driving a school bus.
It's fun.......
Sometimes, you just have to make a track so that you can play that big ass gong - you know the one im talking about.
4 guitar tracks and one for the gong. Various FX for guitar including a sustain FX which seems to go well with the gong droning…
yeah a lot of great design work went into that thing. plus, big blue and orange light-up buttons - what could be more fun?!? at first i thought it might end up guiding me towards more of a hip-hop type sound, but so far in my hands it all just sounds the same as all my other crap... oh, well :)
Samples used in this tune from the NY subway this summer. Inspired by Dave Dunseath
3-12, just uploaded a new version of this with guitar- and some other changes
Inspired by the french movie titled "The Element Of Crime." This is basically a night in the studio for some musical therapy via studio jam with myself.
Added a little more to this nice little change of strumming patterns played as an excuse to write a little love song.
I FOUND LOVE
