Love it! You're getting better and better with every song. The charging riff you have here reminds me a bit of the last few minutes of the song "Buckethead's TV Show" by Buckethead. (The downside to listening to as much music as I do is that everything reminds me of something else, haha).
Thanks Tom. I appreciate your comments, and I'm pleased that you listen so closely. I'm conscious that I don't have much of a voice, and I'm not very confident about singing. There is not much power or range there, and I've noticed that I'm kind of deeper and hoarser since being on some medicine this last few weeks. I wrote this lyric about a year ago, and I've been trying to fit a tune to it. Overall I guess I'm fairly happy with how it turned out. I want my efforts to have a style that mixes different elements and don't sound too predictable or boring. Getting my lyrics to fit is my second biggest problem. - Ideally I'd like to find someone to sing for me! Thanks again : )
You quite skillfully merge different kinds of styles in this song. If I might offer a suggestion: it would have been nice if your vocals were a little higher in the mix near the beginning of the song -- I was trying to catch the lyrics but they were obscured by the music. Other than that one very minor critique, this is one of your strongest songs, Steve!

Miles Away is a very simple guitar riff and lyrics that match, but it's a song that came from the heart of one of the band's members. It's kind of a tune about a newly married couple...like most Prood songs it was recorded after one or two rehearsals…
Glad you like it Tom. No, it is not based on the Aerosmith song. I've never heard that until just now. I wanted to try a kind of fusion of rock and dance, and I thought the barking noise would be funny at the end, as there are no vocals. I then thought that an amusing title would be a pun on the expression "Walking the dog", as if the noisy music was waking the dog. - Just how my mind works I guess.
It's been so long since I've made any music I've kind of forgotten how. I was just noodling about and thought I had a sound I liked so I bounced it out quite quickly.
This one is all made with Reaktor and Boscomac's Air Piano ensemble, plus…
Live in the Living Room cover of Hawkwind's Master of the Universe
Done for the Songcrafters.org fest Live in the Living Room, I made this recording in one take. Which isn't how I usually work. My guitar was put through fuzz and distortion…
Thank you Greg Connor for putting his wonderful harmonica on this song. Enjoy!!

This week, for the last few weeks, I had been working diligently on this, mixing elements of a gothic rock song, and elements of classical musical with the depiction of war, and hardship in mind. Ganon is always such an imposing force in these…
I recorded this one a while back for a short film which I am told will be out soon.
It's a reworking of my earlier piece, [gypsy caravan](http://alonetone.com/colingarvey/tracks/gypsy-caravan).
A Piece of Pi is our newest composition. It’s a brief summary of the story “Life of Pi”. A wonderful story needs a wonderful song. Hopefully we can meet this challenge and find like-minded people out there.

Haha : )
Thanks Michael. I'm always thinking that I shouldn't make long songs in case listeners get bored and switch off.
This one ended well before I was ready... more of this please! Well done & thanks for sharing. ~Michael
ok you caught me, I was tapping my big toes
Thanks for listening Proods. : )
Great!
Thanks Greg.
Good stuff. That guitar sounds great.

Strange and yet compelling.
Having fun while you make music is what it's all about guys! Love the vocal mix, simple tune but great message and very catchy too!
Love the guitars, slow build but very enjoyable guys! Well done.

Lovely song. Great vocals, nice guitar, good arrangement.
London accents, cool music. Love it!

Interesting mix of sounds. Cool!
Very nicely done Ed.
Great fun!
Reminds me of John Lennon. I don't know the song, but very nice.
Remember this one too. Amazing effort by yourself!
I love this old song. Nice arrangement mate
Like it. Soft punk feel to it.
Nice version! Good job.
Enjoying riding on your train. Great stuff
Nice mix of sounds and very listenable
Love the mix and that harmonica being wrung out. Interesting the way it develops and assaults your senses. Great work Colin!
I had to listen again. Colleen's right. It's captured the movie in audio. Calm, stormy, pacy, slow, loud, quiet, and wonderful singing tops it off!
Love it! Rocking!
