Comments on Galileo's Cough Drop's stuff

Found this one while clearing out the cobwebs prior to the 2011 RPM Challenge. It appears to be as finished as its going to get, sooo... here it is. In short: a quirky love song for our cybernetic brothers and sisters who dance to a different beat.

Thanks for the comments! I liked it well enough to keep listening to it, but kept thinking I was going to do more with it, hence the burial. :)

I really like that. How come it was buried under cobwebs? Brilliant stuff!

This tune is the bastard love child of Fever Ray and The Conet Project... dark, mysterious, and grooving. I hope it makes you feel like a spy! :)

I keep coming back to this one. It's entertaining and creative.

Some guy called me back in college when I had a particularly odd outgoing message on my answering machine. He left me a message in return and I kept it all these years, finally putting it to some use.

Cool. I actually rather like that the voice is indistinct. But I'm strange that way ;-)

dig it... perhaps you should put that on your current answering machine and have us leave you messages :-)

Very cool. Love that synth sound, man!

Melodic, peaceful, and trance-inducing instrumental. Used a synth clav as the underlying thematic instrument, then layered a few other things on top. The "guitar" counter-melody at the end is me playing a bass in the upper registers.

@Kirk: Thanks! I couldn't think of how I wanted to lengthen it, so I gave up and released it as-is. (It had been sitting in my "works-in-progress" folder for about 2 years.) @Sis: He's mostly just saying its a cool answering machine message. Maybe I'll re-use the audio sometime in something else so you can hear it better. :)

This composition is a remix/reincarnation of a [previous tune](http://alonetone.com/gcd/tracks/seven-flavors-of-milk) I wrote a while back. I wasn't ever quite satisfied with it and had neglected to incorporate a nifty additional bit of melodic…

Groovy music and a linguistic mystery (can't make out the words, "lyrics" please!) - very compelling!

Galileo's Cough Drop's avatar
Just a basic dance track because its just fun to bounce around sometimes. Also another excuse to use a growly bass sound... a "60 Hz Hum Bass" soundfont I had clearly neglected for too long.

Sorry deleted my comment, spelling mistake. I said that this is great to dance to. Let's hear it for the percussion. I'm gate crashing!

Yep, this is still groovin'.

I came up with the initial rhythmic riff on my bass, then looped it to create the basis for this track. Then, I layered another "lead" bass track on top of that, added some percussion, and finally topped it off with an electric piano-ish sound…
