I think Tenochtitlan in Mexico City..Templo Mayor.. but I cannot remember if they are sculptures or real skulls.. I'm sure they were real skulls at one time :-)
oh.. Capuchin Crypt is in Italy... no have not been but I'm dying to go there someday. Oh crazy skulls! I've seen a similar stacking of skulls in Mesoamerican ruins
Capuchin Crypt? Haven't heard of it.. is this 'capuchin' as in the genus of monkey? I have some crazy capuchin vocal recordings, three species.. they would sound haunting with a bit of reverb.. hmmm
Instrumentation: fretless bass, tabla, acoustic and distorted acoustic guitar, hang drum samples (courtesy of Sudara), soft synth (AAS Ultra Analog), ambient sample of the jungle (pitched down two octaves) a sprinkle of ebow (from my Sudara files).

Glu guides you through an instructional song, revealing secrets along the way.
Instrumentation: Director's comments included! beat boxing, real swords, acoustic guitar, synthesizer, vocals, drum programming, tabla, and tambourine. My apologies…
Super fun track. I'm really interested in what software you use. I'm a software dev so when I hear something like "program some electronic rhythms" it interests me... :) Thanks for the great track.

I'm disturbed by the love affair people have with institutionalized violence. We inadvertently endorse and legitimize war by saying nothing. Maybe it is because we would rather subdue ourselves with meaningless television shows and those neurotics social networking 'about me' quizzes than challenge the norms by which geopolitical power is executed worldwide, both economically and militaristically. What world did Enlightenment principles bestow us with?

MMi's Voices

MMi wrote the song. I programmed percussion, recorded tabla and vocals.
This is quite an old track that got abandoned because I didn't feel it was right or going anywhere.
But listening to it in iTunes this morning I thought it passed muster. I don't think it has enough variation to justify it's length but it's gently…

Sometimes magic happens. Sometimes it even happens to me.
Open D tuning (low to high D A D G A D). Just a practice session where I had the guts to press record.
No drugs. Just beer with dinner. Maybe they put something in the creme brule…
so Airport Columns.. and Opened... I think these might be my two favorite MMI tunes at the moment. This one is magical. I imagine a caravan of nomads wandering through the Serengeti desert in search of a waterhole, but the electronic ambiances suggest that it's some kind of computer-generated dream... like I'm really laying in an isolation tank in someone's laboratory.
thanks for the comments Glibert! This one was thirty minutes from figuring out the guitar lick to bouncing the tracks. I'm most happy with this brainstorm out of all of these because it just came out when I began recording... more naturally than the others.
This one was originally slated for the RPM, but I never got to it. I put together this layout one day, and it hasn't progressed since then, but vocals are coming. Does anyone have Tom Waits' phone number?
A coop between me and another alonetoner and a Chill productions member, Captain Kirk. Original melodic idea and lyrics by me, guitar, piano, final mix, final composition and mastering by Kirk and the beautiful singing is done by his wife…

YES YES YES! This will be spinning in the Lynch house tonight! You captured the spirit of the holiday
reminds me of the Silent Hill soundtrack. Nice!
This is beautiful...
This is great!
Really nice developments. I was caught off guard by the delicacy to expansive transition. Binary winds.

...cool, man!
hii I heard your music on a video a friend made.. gooood stuff
Bravo! Bravo! Maestro! Encore!
Oh, this is a bit different. Love the way the track builds up and then decays at the end.
Yea! Heavy Glu, most impressive.

hahhaha yeah!!! filthtone ftw!!!
this sounds utterly hopeless in the best of ways.
I think your 'desert gypsy' and my 'it's storming inside' need to meet up for a draw!
hands down... this is my favorite kjwise tune. bittersweet melody + female vox ftw!
really enjoy d&b-esque tunes with piano
just in case you both are clueless.. this is my favorite ACL tune to date. :-)
I'm still waiting for 7/8 done version :-)
oh yeah, why did I not fav' this one sooner?
woah I remember an earlier version of this one! This is gorgeous. The instrumentation is perfect.
if this were a crayon color it would be pensive purple.
poignant. Perfect title.
