One of my favourites from the 60's. Stones recorded this one twice: with strings and with vibes. I've done it with cajon and a little grit.
Thanks for listening.

This is a song I made at my cabin last fall ... didn't have anything new to say so the lyrics are a bit out there ... anyway ... this is "Nothing new" ... all recorded on my Boss BR800
ok, volume is fixed, and the title too. Maybe soon I will mix it better or perhaps just move on to better things. Thanks to those who gave excellent advice on previous version.
and the #2 version has been deleted (actually this is #2).
A typical folk song.
Written and recorded in about an hour for the 24 hour album (attempted on March 13th). Excuse roughness and vocal glitches, it was 2am and this was my first full take.
Thanks to montgomeru for his chord suggestions…
Recorded in 2005.
Joe Silence - vocals and all instruments; tracked by Joe Silence at Spit Recorders.
Mixed by Joe Griffin of Toxic Bag Productions.
The guitar solo is not actually a guitar.
Requires work. Would be the first thing to say.. not least the bloody clipping. Just wanted to post something to prove im not dead.
The song is inspired by my counselor kindly allowing me to leave my guilt with her last time i saw her. i told…
I saw "the Watchmen"....got me thinking.
are we truly immortal?
will we live through the material passing
or have we died oh so close to the light
not from this earth
not bound by its laws
A slave of no one
I will move beyond

It's been tough to keep up lately, hope everyone is well.
Something I was working on as part of a larger project. When it's done I'll link it.
that guitar sounds sweet...dark vibe, a little unsettling - real. You have a unique and ultra cool voice that really shines on this one. Not sure what Norm has added hear some brush ambiance? It all but disappears when you start to sing...
This is a song i always wanted to have a go at and it wasn't until Johnny let me have a go on his representation of it i got my chance. Thanks Johnny for letting me have a go, may you rest in peace............
She's left, your drunk and on the floor not able to see a future, your friend is trying to help, your not listening, he obviously doesn't understand you need the drink..........
Comments on Sandy Gritt's stuff
Unique style here. Very good production!
coolness, raw and almost on the haphazard side, but it works well. Nicely done.
Love the vox on this track. Real cool Sandy.
Stones recorded this one twice, Gritt ones, also great-n-drunk. I'm out of, too...
Nice one great job.
great groove. awesome cover.
Love it....great job Sandy....
One of my (many!) favourites from the 60s too. So I approached this with a little bit of trepidation... But WOW! What a fine fine version. Loved it.
Right on bro - Love it!!
Dirty, yeah. Love the bare bones slap. I think you do this one justice.
Nice one mate
love the fuzz

!! Ace !! 5 stars !! Chicken Dinner !! A Winner !! Want one !!
~We are all the branches of a tree that grows to become Tree of Life~
...seems theme for the [moto]riding, for the rush hour, or... hmm.
Here I remember The Cars with Candy-O, do now know why... just getting off :-)
Nice one mate.
dig it. nice sing. classic grit guitar.
Sounds like someone I used to know!

I like this. It's really quirky and catchy and a little tipsy...makes me want about 3 or 4 gin and tonics!
this is a real beauty. Pure bliss.
This is the new hit single. Off the charts...love that solo...that's how to solo mang. Your brown is shining.
Love the way ya play that wee 4 string bugger. Truly brilliant...and we don't throw that word around lightly out here. Best vocal of yours.
kickin beat...feelin' it. I can hear the guitar getting bigger...ended too soon!
really digging it. creepy, catchy...itchy, scratchy. sweet groove.
stark and direct ...sweet melancholia. Wonderful and passionate. Love your voice and the guitar is perfect.
The demons took over...
It's got an experimental Bowie/Eno feel. I like it.
A very strong offering. Love how this chugs along.
The sounds great...it works so well with just piano...really satisfying.
At first I was frightened by the length of this but my goodness this is soulful goodness. Great job with the keys...yeah baby!
Damn this is cool...Laurie Anderson meets Tom Waits. I always new they'd hit it off and this is proof!
Love the vocals.
has an oompa loompa appeal...completely whacked.
