Key - G
People had been requesting this song for years. I decided to write it.
It's the most requested song in Tarrant county
It's a song that I had never heard before
But I always try to sing the songs folks ask for
and that' for sure…

A song for my friend, Eric. Eric changed his diet and drank some green gunk every day and he's cancer went into remission. It's 12 years later and last time we talked he said it was all back...now. He hasn't called in a while. I assume he has died.
....another Peggy dream.
She tiptoes to my room
She leans over my bed
And she kisses me
I leave my doors unlocked
so she can come to me
When she misses me
And I pretend that I'm asleep
But that's not easy
When she kisses me...
Dang, well 1st off , I see you've been churnin' out tha Christmas ditties, Good fer You...
Likin' this tune, cool twist at tha end. Did'nt see that 1 comin'...

Randy Brown and I did a little co-write this evening and this is what we came up with...
I MISTOOK IT FOR THE MOON Capo @ 2 Key D (Play in C positions)
I was coasting across West Texas/Had my top down, it was late at night
I caught a coyote…

This story is a poem sent to me by Lesley Sawyer from a blog on her MySpace site and I put it to music and am posting it so she can hear it and maybe see if it's alright. We don't know who wrote the poem. If anybody does please tell me. j mt

I'm amazed again at your dexterity for touching my heart with your songs of loss and unrequited love. After listening to this song I had to take a deep breath to regain my footing. Thanks for sharing once again with us JMT.

Way, way back I read an article in the newspaper about a little old lady who embezzled money from the bank and wound up in Brazi, living the good life with her boyfriend. Fans seem to like this song.
So I dropped the guitar into DADGAD tuning for the first time, threw a capo on the third fret, rifled off something nice, and sent it to Movement to Contact for his contribution, got it back, did some mixing...
Here is the result.

The lyrics for this song were inscribed on the headstone when the legendary character Tom Thumb died. Inge did the vocals for this song and did a wonderful job. The harmonies, along with the a capella intro and coda, are hers, and take the song…

Another Live performance with former band mates in Scartaglen back in 1988 on the NPR show Mountain Stage. This time a piece of Gaelic mouth music followed by 3 reels. Maybe the most complex arrangement of a set of tunes that we ever did.
This song is about the RPM Challenge; having 28 days (yes, I cheated, this year we get 29) to write and record a 10 song album. The illustrious Ghost Tea (http://soundcloud.com/ghosttea) added some rhymes to make it extra special!

So sad, JM. What are we going to do with you? I thought your backing there was perfect for the track. Just lovely.

I like it. It has JMT written all over it. Wish you could loan me some of that ability that seems to come so easy for your brain but so hard for mine.
Are you from Portland Oregon? Did you have a brother named Joe and a nephew named Joe-Ben?

Just as with DES(diethylstilbestrol. The song is funny but the reality: NOT SO MUCH. Well sang.
