The core of the music is heavily inspired by Joni Mitchell. Its been spinning around for years in my head so hearing this song finally recorded feels good.
Oh yeah! :)
You were made to do this stuff... Now you gotta figure out how to incorporate this into the original songwriting... (don't ask me how - I can't do it either!!! lol)

The mark of a good song is if it can stand on its own with just a vocal and guitar or piano etc....and this is a very good song. At first the vocal reminds me of Peter Gabriel and how may approach it in the early days of Genesis. Mad love for this track.

When I sent this song off to Jim, he sent back tracks for a second rhythm guitar, lead guitar, and drums. Bass soon followed, and Kavin's slide dropped in nicely. Just thought I'd let y'all have a listen to what came back to me…

We walked around talking through the night

I just follow where Andrew comments. He seems to find the goods on alonetone. What a sweet tunen great songwriting. I think of Mark Knopflers Romeo and Juliet.
First new one from me in a long time.
Kind of a love song, I guess.
Recorded in my new "studio" (3rd bedroom in the new house). Almost up and running now... shine and don't stop wondering!

In my late teens I was in a hard rock band and this was one of our songs. This recording is not the band but myself doing all the instruments and vocals. Our singer Kevin wrote the lyrics but I forgot some of the lines and adlibbed a bit of it…
