RosaLinda, unbeknown to me took my song Ellis Road and made this fantastic song called "Tactual Sensation." I was very pleased!! Linda is from Sweden and now lives in Norway. She does not have an account here but perhaps soon. Anyway enjoy.
White Light was written in June along with 10 other "Off the cuff" tunes. Just before the great flood in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Our house was flooded and slowly being rebuilt. This is 4th of the 10 to be recorded.

2nd of the 24 songs I have recently written. Simple fluff that started as something different. I could have done a better job on it but as I've said before "I'm lazy" and if it seems just "OK" I'll pop it up there. Hope y' like it!!

his song is just an experiment or at least started that way. Based on an "Ultrabeat" groove ( the only loops ) I added parts and sang an "Off the cuff" vocal and mixed and tweaked. Mostly Midi parts played through my cheesy Midi controller but…

First of 24 new song I have written. This one is cute, about unrequited love no doubt. #:)
When I say 24 new songs not all will make the cut but most of them will. I will be busy for a good long time!!
Using pointless picks of course.

1st of 10 "Off the cuff" songs I wrote just before the great flood.
I haven't really had a chance to work on any but this one. This is different than the rest of them. All I did was turn on a drum machine and played and sang what ever popped into…

I did this last summer as I can hear a car go by my window. Anyway it's an old song by the great Hoagy Carmichael. I wanted to wait until I could redo the vocal part because I am not happy with it. It's just a scratch track and after I listened…

I excel at disappearing for long stretches, eh?
I think with this I'm officially committing to doing FAWM.
And R.I.P. my songwriting drought. August 27th, 2009 - February 1st, 2010.
I'm a complete idiot when it comes to all things midi related. Recently got myself a midi keyboard though and came up with this short piece just messing with sounds in Proteus. Really looking forward to the possibilities of combining this sort…
Sitting around in my shop a couple of days ago with the Goodall and the Zoom H4N. First time I've really messed with using the internal mics on the H4N in multitrack mode
I really was carrying the ash from the fire out in the dark and looking at the stars and thinking how weird that was - to be throwing the ashes out in the middle of the night and pitch black and everything
Mining the archives a bit. This is an alternate take of my "Jimi Jam" from a couple of years ago. Live to 2 tracks with the Jamman. Really only sounds OK when cranked up loud enough that your eardrums threaten to meet in the middle. LOL!!
I had this old song sitting around and decided to re-do it. The chorus used to be slightly different.
The drums are from "Drummer" and the song is played using "Pointless Picks" Recorded in "Garage Band" and Mastered in "Tracktion."

Thanks Bethan. Yes it was our first Thanksgiving back home. It's great to be back!
I appreciate your opinion re: this tune. Your input is very valuable to me. As I listen to both versions I see what you mean.
I should have fixed the mix of the first one rather than redo the song. By doing version 2 however I did learn a valuable lesson. When I recorded the two guitar parts (in stereo) I panned them just slightly to either side. This simple step opened the middle for the vocal and made each part distinct. An obvious thing but before I had assumed that having them in the middle because they were stereo would be ok. Not so. I should have remixed the original this way to see if it would help that mix. I'll bet it would.
I have not been able to do much lately because of rebuilding our house which had been in a major flood. The flood was in June 08 and we are just getting back in! Anyway I should be doing more soon.

Good going. Nice song.
I like the song and guitar. The vocal could be a little louder however. Good job.
Mix is a little quiet but after I turned it up very nice. I like the job you did.
Heavy man! Big sound.
Vocal could be a bit louder but I like it a lot.
Sorry but it wouldn't play.
Very interesting. Lots of variety here. Maybe a little too slow getting going but once it does then 'tis wild. Good playing!

Turning Coffee into a song, great! I love coffee and this song. I'm glad it's not just a recording of you making the stuff. :)
