Album:
Land of the Lost
Artist's description:
Forgive me my voice!
This may be the most difficult vocal part I have written and tried to sing - but the vocal dissonance IS intentional.
Everything here (except vocals of course…
Yeah B, weird. If you look at comments, the picture is not available and there's a big white box. If you view more, the picture is present, and also a slice of it at the top of the screen. Interesting bug.
I loaded Sonar with a couple audio tracks + echo and recorded my wife's seagull acoustic via a dean markley soundhole pickup.
After the take I multiplied a couple times and edited a touch.
This is really just a test for a planned piece like…
Caveat emptor: I did absolutely none of the drumming in this piece.
ANOTHER WORLD PREMIER! FIRST RECORDING OF THIS PATTERN - EVER!
My friend Kokou "Alex" Yemey delighted me with another visit this evening. He played "Aju" - all 5 tracks…
Very raw, completely improved piece. One track, one take.
Guitar -> GT-10 -> JamMan Stereo
A touch of Discord 3 was added as a send effect. Limiting on the master track. Et voila.
Sorry about the clipping.
Recommended listening…
Although I think I like this version the best, a longer break in the middle (at 2:40 there is a short one) with some ambient shalalas would be cool, just to break it up a bit. Just my op., the song and production are great as is.
Part IV of a fully improvised ep. Available for purchase at bandcamp.

Comments on kavin.'s stuff
this is so beautiful as it is, think anything else would detract chappy. just great as it is
Excellent. I like it as it is!
Really cool how the auto swell backs up the mic'd track so well.
Very nice man. I say run one with a vocal and one without. Let the listener decide. ;)
Well , I say its a great track on its own. If you do a vocal upload so we can a/b them I like iT!
Beautiful guitar track, Kavin. Maybe whisper-y vocals with heavy reverb or just a subtle accompanying guitar might add just enough.
P.S. I don't know about "ruin" with a vocal part, probably not "ruin" but it does hold up nicely as is......just my penn'orth. Jarvo
I did not know ol' Gustav had written this ...very nice arrangement... Jarvo
Very enjoyable song. I'm always a sucker for acoustic guitar!
Thanks Kirk. One channel is dry miked guitar with SM57, one channel thru the DL4, auto volume swell setting.
Very pretty
Gorgeous! How did you get that effect on the guitar? Sounds like a second guitar with the attack time slowed down. Nice!
Great tune.
kavin pureness infuses
You've got a great voice! Guitar sounds lovely too.
This inspires me to start playing more acoustic again. Nice!
Dig the mood you guys have conjured!

It starts in Floydian, then the wave, and then ... The next thing a.k.a. "A tail-end" required, as the second part.
Ok now whats this its sweet?

Yes it was a longer improv, which I edited down to the best bits. Thanks much!
Ever heard of Robert Wyatt? Very much that style. Good job.
Great electro-jazz. Cool.

Great sonic space and execution, BL will be favoriting/dl'ing this.
Hi Rick! I sure like this. been hanging out with Wendy Carlos?
Howr you doin Rick? Peace to you brother, and thank you for your wonderful music!

This is great that he played this with the "tape" running! Can I use this? I would not alter it, as you mentioned it shoud'nt be.

Really good, unique song (singing) and treatments here. Thanks

Don't know how I missed this the first time around. Badass slidin'!
thanks Rhonie! You may want to look up the original John Fahey version, too.
Reminiscent of Neil Young's Dead Man soundtrack. Keep up the great sounds Max.
the praise genre is not really my cup o tea, but your voice is heavenly :)
Great groove.
