acapella vocal loop
In the bleak midwinter
Frosty wind made moan
Earth stood hard as iron
Water turned to stone
Snow had fallen
Snow on snow on snow
In the bleak midwinter
Long, long ago

Very evocative....I remember seeing a meteor shower in rthe UK mid eighties...the display, well it was gobsmacking....which means it leaves you speechless ! 80)
I usually like lyrics, but in this case (to answer your question) less is more. I like the way this hangs together on it's own.
As I said earlier, VERY PRETTY

What's to say? That we actually have anything to do with what our government does? Ha! Even Woody Guthrie knew the truth. They just leave that verse out of his "anthem".

While I'm certain there are those who may be growing weary of scratching, I couldn't resist posting this great mix by Alister Flint, who is truly a master mixologist extraordinaire - he didn't even have individual tracks to work with! Al was too…
After writing this song about our newly adopted dog, I asked Kavin if he like to play some slide guitar, knowing that he would come up with something terrific... I just had no idea how terrific.

I've been noodling about with these chords for what feels like an eternity. They just are telling me what they want to be when they grow up... so I thought it's just time to record them and maybe solicit some kind of feedback.

Nice chord progs there. Adding this to a long list of alonetone songs I'd like to add something to, if I can keep from ruining it. Then again it might best be left alone, with it's airy openness.
First done by Dock Boggs back in the 20s, it's a great piece of melancholy parafunalia. Eerie to think it's a suicide note and reassuring to know he was still a tough old bird 40 years later.

Another wacky production from the stretchy, bouncy, and elastic world of Rubber. Special thanks to Mark (Launched) for writing this one for us.
We had a whole bunch of fun with this song and you will too.
Enjoy!

Just a hint of the original melody, and the cascading notes in the middle, it's a different take on a classic and that's good. Thanks for not putting the rain sound fx in!

One of my favourite Christmas carols beautifully played sir.
Dreamily. Singing, being intimate, should not destroy magic here. The main thing - do not overdo with it ;-)

thanks, yawl. @Richard: the pic was taken at Spider Rock overlook in Canyon de Chelly in the Navajo reservation, Arizona.
Excellent new songs up JMT, esp. this 'un. I look forward to the day when we can jam again.
Very cool, inventive stuff.
Ahhh another series of sputtering, glitchy noise pieces. Love it chimps!
I missed the eclipse the other morning, but this more than makes up for it. Beauty.
Great to see yawl here!
luvadatdubmon!
Agreed on all three points. A cool jam!
That was fun, thanks Keith. Now I wanna go out and adopt a puppy!
Successful play! I just finished watching 2001 a space odyssey (again) and this piece would have been perfect in the soundtrack. I wants a GR-20 now.
For some reason this is not playing for me on the pc or mac....

From the samples I've been listening too, DB was a monster banjo picker, among other things.
Gotta put a plug in for Darrin Kobetich, check him out on myspace and cdbaby. And at RPM Challenge!
Thanks for resurrecting this tune. Well done. Will have to look up some more of Boggs' work.
Dang, that kicks!
Quirky. Twisted. And the guitar is badass. Third listen.
Really nice, dreamy composition, but too short!
