More ambient experimentation with my fretless guitar and Roland GR20. This time I used some sounds from the magnetic pickups as well as the midi pickup. Kind of a cheesy synth patch I know, but it was working for me!

A bit of improv done yesterday with my newly refurbished fretless guitar. Finally got the midi pickup to track almost right! Part of the sounds were gotten by rubbing a teaspoon on the strings.

I'm calling this my Halloween track, but really it's just one of my more noisy experiments that I never intended to release! I actually can't remember now how I got part of these sounds, but it's all the Taylor and a floor full of toys, and a…

Maybe I missed a career scoring for no budget spaghetti westerns, because this is what this reminds me of. Done live a couple weeks ago with the Taylor and a floor full of toys and loopers.

Another cut from the 1988 cassette tape of a live performance by Scartaglen on the NPR show Mountain stage. This time some tunes from County Kerry.
Kirk Lynch- Uilleann pipes and whistle. Becky Pringle- Fiddle. Mike Dugger- Fiddle and guitar…

A Barren electric guitar that sounds as if it has been going through a broken amp. And complimenting synths and percussion.
In retrospect, it sounds a bit similar to Trent Reznor's work, but I have always been a fan of his music so no surprise.
A tune about one of my favorite activities. This is one of the songs form my soon to be completed RPM Challenge 2012 submission. Special guest Steve Litras providing the blazing guitar solo.
Recorded using the Rode Nt1a and BR-80

I think you guys and girls will enjoy this one. It is PROGRESSIVE so more instruments are added throughout until the united ending. It includes many different sounds which i think work well together. This one took me a long time as it has so many…
This is an Acoustic piece that was inspired by a Journey in a Dream I had that took me to a strange place between earth and another place in space and time, I went to a train station and entered a train that went up into space to some very strange…

Recorded this afternoon at my place. A big "Ey up" to The Reprobate who went with the idea and played some cool lead - man that guy can play!
Hope you enjoy!
This is a traditional piece that dates back to at least the 16th century. Since the version I have is instrumental I used what is called Pythagorean Tuning and period instruments to render it. (alto recorder, bells (crotales), fiddle, and bodhran…
Bethan wanted to make a lullaby for her new grandson and asked me for to make a music track for her to sing to.
Tess added 2 extra riffs and pitched it down as well. She also did the mixing and the vocal arrangement.

How did I miss this. I am wraped in sound
cool ambiance, the lead peering up sounds floydish
That synth guitar can be addicting but when you find something that feels right its hard not to go with it. This is awesome.
nothin' cheesy here. Roland makes great patches. I'm wondering if you can use both midi and magnetic pickups at the same time?
Rich, full-figured...mellow...soundscape
