Similar in feel to the other Fragile Moment track. Mostly acoustic guitars recorded sitting in my shop on the H4N and then finished up in Cubase just this morning. September 9 09. Maybe a nice one for bedtime

@Mannequin Races. Thanks - I was not sure about the mix- Just got sick of messing with it! The lead tone was recorded with a Rode NT1A into the Zoom H4N with an edited preset that was a vocal mic pre in combo with pretty extreme compression. I was kinda going for the sound of single line stuff on a classical guitar, but don't have one!

This is has a dark feel to it. I like the subtle voice patches. This is mixed very well. It has a nice full sound to it. Such a beautiful lead guitar tone. Are you recording this direct or what sort of mic set-up do you use? Nice build up. The shakers add a nice touch!
Solo acoustic finger picking thing I've been working on for a while. Sometime around 1968 I started studying with Mr. George Bennett who taught me the rudiments of finger picking. Later when we played some gigs together he also taught me the rudiments…
Really beautiful finger picking. That's one thing I've never really felt comfortable doing. I'm stuck in a rut of playing with a pick but maybe I'll branch out one of these days! Really nice progression. This was the perfect song to wake up to!
Something completely different- Uilleann pipes(Irish bagpipes) and synth. I wrote this tune over 20 years ago in the style of traditional Irish slow airs. It was recorded way back in 1991 for an album that's been out of print for over 15 years…
What happened after too much time on youtube watching live vids of "voodoo chile" Noisy obnoxious and very cathartic for me! Live to 2tracks with the Jamman
...nice groove/tones/lines -funkaliscious, man! By the way- I bet you dig Bowie's 'FAME' [as do I], no?!
Thanks for taking the time to listen to my stuff and comment. Best -kss
Just one of those passing moods. Just finished today - august 2 2009. I resisted the temptation to try to develop it any further and just let it be what it is
Another one from back when I was tracking to actual tape. Was going to do a new version at some point, but decided I had lost interest. Sometimes there's no sense in recreating the past! Recorded probably the beginning of 2007

Thanks for the kind words. We're still feeling at an appropriate 1st album style, and think we're hovering closer to what we want. Love your work (especially this song) - keep it up! Gave us some inspiration for finger picking.

I especially enjoy tracks that make me feel like I've learned something about artists I love, and this is one of those tracks. And also your "Thanks George" at the end is a wonderful touch.
I hesitate to upload this, but there are a couple folks around who like this sort of thing. This is an edited down version of a jam I had with myself back at the end of 2007. Live to 2 tracks with the aid of the Jamman. I think it was the first…

I just bought a new Gibson SG Standard guitar with P90 pickups. I bought it after listening to Steve Krell's Gibson Gold Top with P90's.
Here is my first recording with the guitar.
Lyrics:
Sitting in my living room
Sunlight will be fading…
Well I started this with a little guitar groovin' thing I was playing with and laid it down to a click track thinking I was going to just keep it just guitar , bass and vocals and off it went.
This song really is just all about life moving by…
A string-band type instrumental, meant for square dances, etc. or War Between The States balls. It has a kind of cavalry bounce to it. Written by Jim Duckett 2012. All instruments by Jim Duckett. All guitar parts are done on a repaired 1960's…
Warning: Synthesizer
(JV-30, ca. 1996) I had three tunes that didn't stand on their own. They don't go together either, so I put them together. I've been told it's reminiscent of Frank Zappa, but frankly I don't know if I've ever been able…
All first take improvisations. 8 tracks of madness for your enjoyment. Ear goggles will put you inside this piece. Not recommended for the faint of heart!
Recorded between 9AM - 7PM on the 26th of February.
I'm playing with making short animated movies (about 1 minute long at the moment) using ArtMatic and Studio Artist. This is a track composed to go with one of those movies.
It uses an original violin sample from Markus Czwiertnia.
A moody piece I whipped up while testing the new Live 9 beta.
Basically, two chords (Cmin7, Bmaj7) and some layered noodles.
Still have a busted finger, so the guitar playing is... restricted.
Noodling with the "art guitar" in DADGAD tuning in the Serra sculpture Vortex at the FW MOMA. No fx added, all natural reverb/delay inside the structure.

Wow! Gorgeous!
Dig the vocal quality that the slide part took on in places. Nice!
Lovely!
Yeah! What Kavin said. The feedback and whammy bar workout is intense!
Fun stuff- I enjoyed that!
Damn! This is serious wacko, but I'm digging it! Wish I had it together to do something this free form
Lovely guitar sounds!
I remember this one- great track. Recording sounds excellent. Love the background textures you create here!
Lovely stuff! Hemp used to be a big cash crop around here for rope. It's still everywhere!
