Yes, this is my bag. Love the vibe, very cool. Sounds like something you’d hear in Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul, House, etc. I’m impressed!
At some point I was thinking about RHCP and that song ringing in me. I’m
Finally catching up on everything I’ve missed from you and everyone else. This is cool.
Almost made it to the wedding ceremony…nice
Fine lyrics! Interesting mixing technique to have the lead vocals panned to the far right in some parts and then have the overdubbing add a contrasting stereo effect by being panned to the far left! I might steal that some time! ;)
Groovy and cool as HELL!
Inspired by “The Song That Never Ends,” I sang the poem 7 times, for each day of the week, from Tuesday to “Moon"day.
in the spirit of the Wanagi and lower Brule tribe, I say, Go…make it clear and make it last forever. Don’t ever let the underlings bring you down.
OK… this might be my fav, lyrically, of yours. i’m right with you. Good tune-age, too. If you want to get fired up, check out what Polymet Mines may be allowed to do in northern Mn, right in the middle of one of the largest freshwater sheds in the world. Unbelievable that it’s even being considered. Been to the meetings… its a real possibility.
Very interesting commentary…
And, thank you for listening to my song.
I was at the stockade at Fort Ord in California and then sent to Leavenworth where I ended up at the prison farm running the egg factory.
I am enjoying your music.
Just found this!
What a treat!
Ah good old days of the future past !!!! Roger.
Nice one like it
Nice got some potential keep up the good work :)
Great job, Roger Dodger!
Interesting lyrics complimenting a bouncing melody. It’s a great way to portray frustration.
the finality is nearly palpable. Eco’s and shadows, beseech us all.
Pretty dang good
Credit also goes to Greg for the melody.
The music expresses your pain better than any words alone could. I feel your hurt now. Damn, man – ouch!
I just read the lyrics, and I’m commenting before I hear the music to say, wow, you really have a gift with words.
That banjo in the distance is just too damn cool!
One of the prettiest version of this song I’ve heard yet! Great job, Colleen!
A beautiful, gorgeous song, with a tasty, powerful bass, a cool strumming technique, great vocal delivery, intriguing lyrics, and sweet picking. Far out job, Man – Rock on!
I sooooo love this – great job! Fabulous, really!
Finland is a fabulous nation, Helsinki is a fabulous city, and you are a fabulous composer.
Rock on, Roger!
Psychedelic, rich in groovy colors and flavor! My kind of thing. I’m really glad you went there. Alert me if you have anything else like this one in your collection. FAR OUT!
A wonderful, delightful, moving compilation of sound. Epic, delicious, colorful, textured. Gripping, effective – it swirls about you like warm water, then wraps itself about you like a comforting blanket. Bittersweet, choice guitar work near the end.
An excellent musical composition. Great vocal job.
Nice! Great sounding guitar, and I’m digging your technique. You’re in a tasty, sweet, good groove. Rock on!
This song was recorded by my father, Danville Dan the Singing Hobo. I and my son were posthumously added to the original. Even if you already heard it, come by and give this 3 generation number another listen. It was reprocessed today for more reverb and stereo effect.
The brevity of this makes it perfect for the intro/theme music of a TV show, and the style would suggest a show about family and love and growing up, like “Wonder Years.”
The multiple vocal tracks works for me. Sultry sax. Intriguing lyrics. Sweet lead guitar break. Choice composition. Rock on!
Powerful lyrics, man. Something all of humanity should be able to relate to; Buddhist, Christians, atheists, whatever their philosophy and beliefs be about a hereafter. So we’re all guilty of silly thoughts sometimes. I’m glad you had the courage to express it in music and poetry for the rest of us.
Wow. The music and lyrics, both heart-breaking-ly sad but so real and true. Good poetry and appropriate music. There’s pain there, but it’s a beautiful composition nonetheless, and the voice is seriously real. Great job!
Exceptional vocal tracks – sultry and sweet. Great delivery, tasteful, warm, cozy.
Great lyrics, cool story. Well done. Rock on.
