MAD AND SAD AND SCARED
I just want to get by for a friend
This is not how I would want to end
Mad and sad and scared
In everything I've shared
That is all I leave behind me
This is all I am
Hope I find a way
To kiss you every day
That…
WALKING ON THE MOON
See the Earth on horizon
Watch the Earth as she's arising
I hope the living are gazing
I hope the people are loving
Feel like I'm walking on the moon
I think I will be on there soon
My body's going to set me free…

And y'all thought the Hokey Pokey was what it was all about! This song is 4 dimensional – up/down, left/right, in/out, now/then. BIG THANKS to Greg Connor for fabulous vocals…

A song in honor of my Grandad Benny.......who survived the 1st world war and lived to the ripe old age of 96........but never forgot the friends he lost.......

Just to let you know, I have 4 accounts here. My pre-2013 originals as Gene Eric Mann, my covers as Justin Otter Guy, stuff with Starry Nightmoth as Nightmoth, and new originals as Merry Bear. Anyway, this is a fantastic, and most interesting recording. I love your approach to the 12 and how you made the fiddle work with that. The reverb is excellent, as is the mix down. FABULOUS!
Throughout the whole zaniness that is 50/90, I have never written, recorded, and mixed a song in one day.
Until now.
This whole thing was done on Saturday 9/6/14. The vocals were recorded in the car while I was waiting to pick up one…
Another go at the concept of reverse engineering a popular song to see what it's made of. I think I actually got pretty far, given that I'm neither guitar-, bass- nor keyboard player...
New version with vocals is here: http://alonetone.com…
Collaboration with Freight Drive Reprobates (music) and Darkarma (lyrics).
Don't think it's my best, but it's been hanging around for so long, I needed to get it out so I can move on to the next one :)
Enjoy!
This song has been sat on the marvellous mechanical mouse organ in the broom-cupboard for well over a year.
A few weeks ago I got a bit of a scare - the mouse organ nearly broke down (in the middle of sorting out Delta Dawn). While I was fixing…
Thought I'd have a go at a soul number. FDR did some lead but the song was left all alone on my comp until today when I landed on it's lyrics while driving home. Thought I'd have a plumb at auditioning for the 3rd Reg, lol.
While on our European journey last summer, we stopped at an American Cemetery in between Venice and Florance Italy. It was a gray wind swept day, long rows of white crosses ran across a deep green grass field. I have read a bit about the allied…

Another interesting texture to this song. Your last two have been unique And refreshing to listen to.
Nice tribute. The song has a freshness to it.
Thanks for the invitation. That was fun!

This thing REALLY swings! Excellent
Excellent finger clicker. Agree with Gary Fox - the intro really pulls you in.
Great piece, love the open sound.

You blow me away, time and time again.
As usual, fabulous guitar work!
5 stars! Good music and vocals, and damn fine lyrics.

I'd suggest raising the vocal tracks by 3dbs, but otherwise, ROCK ON!
Now THIS I like!
You've stitched together an interesting, tasty collection of sound -- Rock on!
Bittersweet -- sad yet gorgeous.
what Jason Earls said.
I remember this one from ezFolk -- it's great to hear it again, and to hear it here. So glad you found AloneTone and are posting music here. Rock on!
Music shouts what voices cannot whisper. This is gorgeous bit of music. Very touching, moving.
Sounds like a band of gorillas masturbating in a circle around a serious cat fight.
This is a groovy arrangement of sounds. Interesting scale. I dig what you've strung together here. Sweet drum patterns.
I like it. Digging the bass. Good beat. Cool guitar work -- not subtle or in your face. The lyrics and vocals says it all -- "Hey!"
GREAT JOB -- really! You know the Blues! Rock on!
Came back for a second helping. Y'all make a great team. Sweet!
Nice -- really, really nice.
Yep, you got soul, bro!
You ROCK! Rock on!
Wow! Brilliant and beautiful. Great atmosphere, tasteful, fitting. It took me in. Thanks for this touching, moving tribute.
