This song is based around a sample that I took of my dish washer. The sample starts out simple enough and then gets more chopped up at the end. The song evolved from there. Also in this song is a new pedal I got that is a photo theremin. You…
My first composition that uses an odd time signature for a few measures. My drum fills are also more elaborate. It's just a little tune to bob your head to, tap your toe, you know, the good stuff!
Compositionally this song started out with the drum pattern and grew from there. I'm not sure why I chose the title 'Mad Man' but in some ways I thought it was fitting.
Anyway, this song is dedicated to crazy geniuses whose academic work is…

Revisited!!
The game Composers were Awesome Musicians!!
Little to work with... But Still made it sound Good!
8-Bit Goodness!!!!

Haha. I used some samples of disco drums from my old keyboard for my latest track. They might be overcompressed. The track sounded really good to me last night before I uploaded it. Upon listening some more to it I hear room for improvement. I like to experiment with sounds that I previously would have skipped right over, i.e. disco drums. I hope I did Jimi a little bit of justice with this here little homage.
This song is a tribute to the space monkeys named Albert. They all died tragic deaths of various kinds during their forced service to the American space program.

those are all good points. I thought about putting more crowd noise in during the song; I should experiment more with that. This piece would benefit from more percussion, but there are several tempo changes in there and I don't have good drum samples for that. The midi drums on my software sound like sh*t so I decided just to pull the track out of the oven and serve it up as it is.
When are you going to post more tracks? I want to hear what else you've got to offer us.
And let me know when you're ready for the robot voice sample.

...and, yes, those kids and i share a lot of love; they can be pretty amazing; its a good therapy : )
I thought it might be interesting to post the source material I used in the track [IX](http://alonetone.com/sandbags/tracks/ix-2). This is the file generated by my TMA-2 instrument that I processed to make IX.
If you're into this sort of noisy…
Another slice of Reaktor based weirdness from the particle collider ensemble I am tentatively naming TMA-2.
You can't tell from how it sounds I guess but the latest development is that particle energy now governs velocity, i.e. more energetic…
Another in my series of evolving sonic noise experiments.
The source for this piece was a recording from my latest Reaktor instrument [TMA-2](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyEEW-tCNL4) with a sample map constructed from [Richard Devines](http…
(Drool) Okay, I've always known that I've wanted to give Reaktor a shot but now I really want to try it out! Great stuff. I have no idea how to ad more space in something like this but I like it the way it is. My only suggestion to try out sometime is to vary the panning. Seems like the panning (ping pong effect) is pretty consistent. I would try varying it more (like faster panning for a bit, then slower, etc..). Anyways cool stuff!
warning!!! this is a long 10+ min instrumental
It's a piece about 4 years old that was my first attempt at using synth voices,, I am still looking for a good one,, if anyone knows.
The music itself is a tone poem, loosely dedicated to a children…
You are right on the money that I have a lot of fun coming up with my songs! Thanks for your listens and checking out my back catalog!
This song builds really nicely. It's very full and rich. I wish I could compose longer songs like this. I get tired of musical ideas really quickly and always want to move on to the next one! This would be great in a movie soundtrack. There is some slight hissing going on but nothing terribly distracting. Excellent work here!
Sitting around in my shop a couple of days ago with the Goodall and the Zoom H4N. First time I've really messed with using the internal mics on the H4N in multitrack mode
two recorders and a flute get together in the back of a countryside English church late in the afternoon.....
NOTE --- you may need to turn up the volume a bit for this...

Wish I could play blues like that! Very soulful. Makes me want to break out my guitar and rip off some licks. Nice guitar sound! Cool. This one needs a backing track though but I like the sparseness of it.
This too was actually recorded from my midi controller playing the notes and then constructing chords out of them. All done again except the drums ( im no drummer).
Love how this one pulses. Very alive and organic. Great instrumentation. Very unique. Awesome job. The chopiness of this is disconcerting and fantastic at the same time. It's got that muffled ears sort of sound. Interesting indeed.
Ever since i heard Cave Street's Creator Protector Destroyer (from their 2010 RPM album) run from that song back into the opening didj of Onion Bell (the first track) i wanted to put the lyrics to that pulsing energy, and today i had time to give…
I'm singing lead on this. It was recorded to 24 track, 2 inch tape, I'm thinking. I have those somewhere, but they've turned gooey. Sadly, it seems to go into the red during the chorus, but I can't fix that now. I have more stories about the…
This is very timely and classic. Great singing and backing music. Definitely a winner! Was this recorded to tape? It sounds like it's going 'into the red' but either way this has a great feel to it.
Improvisation on congas and very fragile, clay Moroccan bongos (which my brother found for me from an African display at some zoo!). These bongos are basically clay pots with permanent, very thin goat skins stretched over the top - they can not…
Wish I could write songs like this when I'm drunk. Hmmm... maybe I need to start drinking more. Excellent acoustic jam. This one has a sort of Adam Sandler feel to it. I think it's a combination of your voice and the lyrics. Well done!
On youtube there's a short video clip of guitarist Shawn Lane (R.I.P) executing an extremely difficult chord voicing that requires extensive finger stretching, which Shawn calls "the hardest chord in the world." I altered the chord a little bit…
Thanks for your recent comment on my song, it was great! This is some really beautiful playing! The guitar playing is great! I guess great is an understatement. The word virtuoso comes to mind. Much respect sir!
Man, that's the best place to come up with tunes is in the shower. Happens to me all the time! I would comment more on this track but the browser keeps choking on this one. I'll try it again soon.
Comments on Mannequin Races's stuff

Love the bass line to this!
Oh, yeah - A head scrambler!!
Oh, those kick sequences are definitely a Mad Man letting loose! Great piano patch - That really made this I think. Sweeet!
Yes - I love it. Very brooding sound, but I suppose that's how a dishwasher should be!
This has got me all nostalgic!!!! Sega Master System.... Revisited!! The game Composers were Awesome Musicians!! Little to work with... But Still made it sound Good! 8-Bit Goodness!!!!
This is very engaging! Love How this is Put together!!! Perfection in a short burst!
This makes me Go all Funny with the Effects... You Rule!!!!!! Goose bumps as well... Dont know why....
You are a true artist, stunning sounds here.
very cool sounds.
The drums would sound very cool with some ping delay, bouncing from left to right and then back again.

Thanks for your comment! The vocals were recorded using an MXL 4000 mic.
Cool! I dig that ultra fuzz tone. Give us more tracks buddy.

I say those internal mics sound pretty darn good! Cool composition. Lots of nice changes in this.
Beautiful and tranquil. Really nicely played and recorded.
Groovy song. It needs some more bottom end though. Everything else is right on the money. Pretty cool!

Nice driving bass and drums. Simple but effective!
I like how this one slowly comes together. Great guitar tone. Parts of it remind me of Queens of the Stone Ages. Pretty slick. I dig it.

I like the breakdown around 1:13. Nice production and mixing. Lots going on in this song.

I'm a percussionist first and foremost so I love this. Awesome jungle jam. Those congas sound nice and full.
Oh yeah, this is rocking. Great riffs. Nice production. The bottom end sounds a bit boomy but other than that it's all good. Fantastic shredding.
