I'm almost totally happy with this song except it is for the mix. I would appreciate any comments on how to improve it. Is too bassy and the mix has a big blip in the beginning where it gets louder for a second. I know I can fix some of that with…
nice song, love the lyrics. Because you are asking for advice, I recommend bringing out the percussion to compliment that rich bass. I also think a little percussive variation would help the track move more fluidly. Looking forward to the final mix. Cheers!

nice track.. love the lyrics! Because you are looking for comments to improve your mix... you could also try the alonetone forum section "track therapy" -- it's a little sleepy but maybe more folks will start posting if more start using it.

I recommend doing something with the percussion to compliment that nice bass; drums sit too low in the mix- bring them out... and they could use some variation to keep the track moving/building. Nice song idea, I look forward to hearing the final mix. cheers!

Hi Tim. Yeah, I've got a backload to upload but I want to clean them up. Decided to post this one even though the mix is off. Figured people like yourself would make some helpful comments....? I'll be checking out your latest later, myself.

Had to reload this due to accidental deletion.
This is the first song I made all by myself - words, vocals, bass, and highly FXed guitar- since I don't really play. The drum-track is by Boss BR-1180.
The song is about someone in a crappy relationship…

many sirens are not female. i know many shipwrecks. it is sad. the song repeats the raw mistakes, a metaphorical rock to break up on over and over. it is well done music. it is hoped you find better seas. 0x0

A friend sent me a loop he made on Reason, and I added a 2nd bass track and about 4 vocal tracks in various stages of aural legibility.
In the song I try to give a friend advice about how to stop his spiral downward. Starting with practical…

Lyrics:
I'm not sleeping
I'm staring at the ceiling
My mind's a thousand miles away
I'm finding faces in the shapes
of plaster that was scraped on the ceiling
Killing time is not so bad
but when you're trapped inside your head…

First post-24h tune. Music written and recorded throughout the day... and lyrics in the evening. WARNING: This one is another cliché romantic synth-pop tune; same *muse* as the last one.
Written, recorded, and mixed in 24 hours. August 01-02, 2009, from 6am to 6am.
Instrumentation: Two acoustic guitars, electric guitar (picked and bowed), fretless bass, about 7 different flutes, two tabla drums, rattles, tambourine, didgeridoo…

Very cool. Love the atmosphere and all the different layers of sounds.
Also, Thanks for the comment about my song and bringing up the drums. I'll try Track Therapy, too.

When CobSOn was 6 years old, mom and dad Cobson sent her to the local music school (in the suburbs of Toulouse) where she started to play the piano. The course lasted 11 years.
During the summer 2002, she wrote her first words, "give the slip…
i saw the curtains changing color
i watched the sun room come alive
i have been sitting in this rocker
wondering when you might arrive
i am hoping for redemption
cant stand the way i feel
i know it is only passing through me
rivers flood…
Thanks for the explanation. It is a beautiful song, and also very sad. And yet, there is something in it that sounds like the need to keep going, regrets and all. Nice work!

you tell me what you want
you tell what you need
i cant give you nothing honey
but this pretty little seed
where has the sun gone
and is it gone forever
will it come back someday
should we just give it some time
i ask you what…

Wildgeas - no, he said he liked the song except for the vocals and lyrics. Well, maybe it helped, deep down, right?
Here's another one for you Brando. I have high hopes for a band, too. But there is none. Oh well! I like your live play experimentation (LPE).
beauty! what do you mean "live play experimentation"?

What a cool cliche romantic synth-pop tune. Me likes. Like where the backup vocals are.
i likes this drunken piece. it is aware of life's melancholy yet resolute to soldier on with cheer.
love that synth sound
So dream like... I am in a trance. Love it.

Wow. That's spotless. Nice. Love how the vocals work together, and the melancholic wail and bounce.

So this is about a friend? I thought it was to a child, from a parent who was far away. It's very touching.
You are my very next deck speck. It's true!
Love the spooky moody feel.
Like the growly vocal.
