Very raw, completely improved piece. One track, one take.
Guitar -> GT-10 -> JamMan Stereo
A touch of Discord 3 was added as a send effect. Limiting on the master track. Et voila.
Sorry about the clipping.

I've been noodling about with these chords for what feels like an eternity. They just are telling me what they want to be when they grow up... so I thought it's just time to record them and maybe solicit some kind of feedback.

Nice chord progs there. Adding this to a long list of alonetone songs I'd like to add something to, if I can keep from ruining it. Then again it might best be left alone, with it's airy openness.

Beginning reminds me of how my grandfather used to play. Trust me..he was good. He was into all kinds of styles.
What chords are they by the way? Sounds like your noodling paid off.
I have a hard time making my guitar playing sound good for long periods of time. I sometimes will use sections of riffs I like. This one would be fun to play with.

One of these chords wants to be a firefighter when he grows up. another one wants to be an honest lawyer. another one wants to stay young forever and reject authority. And one of them wants to be a hustler.
Well, song 10 finally. A bit on the heavy side, some odd FX, strange vox, an Ibanez, The ever present harmonica, and some help from Illegal Alien Autopsy.
This was the first song I tracked for RPM. But, since my pen has run out of ink this month…

one of those 'it was written even before i started' songs that just rolls out like magic
i tried to keep it simple so as not to destroy the vibe
first finished (if unmixed) track for RPM 2010
This started as a simple piano piece from Osckilo, I took that as a beginning point and added the rest (synth, guitar, drums from Boss microBR), turning it into a prog-rock instrumental.

I wanted to play more directly with noise of various kinds so this piece focuses less on techniques and fancy plugins and more on selection & arrangement of sounds.
I spent many hours going through Reaktor ensembles I've downloaded searching…
Happy Valentine's Day Everyone.
I think this song has grown on me in the last few
days. I'm diggin' it. I hope you all do too. I
wanted to hurry up and get the demo out for
Valentine's Day. Finished at 3:05am. Wha whoooo!
I need to…
Another collaboration between me and guitarist Kerry Hoke. Kerry provided me with four guitar loops. I arranged the loops, added some effects, played a sampled upright bass, programmed some drums, and blended it all together.
My first upload for the 2010 RPM Challenge! I wanted to make a mean-sounding, minimal, instrumental groove track, and this is what I came up with. I tried a bunch of different bass lines, but they all made it sound too busy.

Comments on mmi's stuff
Personally disappointed you didn't call it Sotfic. I like this piece - mermaids fighting.
Wonderful album.
Perfect to enjoy with someone special beside you ..........
"first I did voices" ...if thats your method here, thats incredible. What fantastic mixture of sounds.
Haha, just read the "about" - that's exactly what happened to me when I worked with him on the Little England remixes. :-) This is an awesome collab.
Mmmm, lovely!
"This is a very relaxing piece of guitar music, isn't it?" (Mister Savage, waiting for his dinner)
beginnin reminds me of 'the knife', a song called 'like a pen'.
Uneven Bras! very good stuff.
For me, this track is instrumental perfection.
oh god i needed to be soothed, thank you mmi
This will be good to jam with. Nice download :) Thanks M.
Lovely stuff man! I'm still envious of your clean tones. I can hear maybe some light percussion and ebow washes over this
Inspiring sounds, lalala.
nice one my brutha.

My heart melts.

Hot anthemic goodness.
Progtronica! Yes!
Ever impressive.
Well done. Very retro cool.
Fun stuff. Love the banjo.
Awesome groove. Builds a little like that the theme tune from a Guy Ritchie film.
Crunchy!
Awesome; all you need now is a Barry White stand-in :-)
Groovus interruptus!
loving the dark groove
Really nice flow you've developed across your RPM tracks. Coming along very very nicely.
Holy crap. What a build. Beautiful and inspiring (makes me really glad that I've started playing guitar myself).
