Same homework assignment as Intoxicating Haunt.
The assignment was to come up with something that used (my choice) of chords that contained C octave, C & C#, C & G#, C & F# where the bass moved from C, C#, G#, F#.

I checked out the web page where you are taking lessons...it's on another of your web pages that I came across on Sandbags web page. Would be nice if a school like that was around here. Looks fun.

Is that Cygnus? :) Enjoying the tracks, thanks for the comment! My computer went skewiff a few months ago so I haven't been about here in a while - starting from scratch.. I'll listen to more when I get the chance.. good stuff..
A quasi-ambient experiment with the Hypercyclic plugin.
I don't know if it's tacky to listen to your own stuff but I actually do listen to this one a lot.
i just lost someone dear to me too.
hope you are doing well..it is a necessary but horrendous struggle.
...on a positive note, what a great way to explore those feelings.
Well, song 10 finally. A bit on the heavy side, some odd FX, strange vox, an Ibanez, The ever present harmonica, and some help from Illegal Alien Autopsy.
This was the first song I tracked for RPM. But, since my pen has run out of ink this month…

one of those 'it was written even before i started' songs that just rolls out like magic
i tried to keep it simple so as not to destroy the vibe
first finished (if unmixed) track for RPM 2010
This started as a simple piano piece from Osckilo, I took that as a beginning point and added the rest (synth, guitar, drums from Boss microBR), turning it into a prog-rock instrumental.

I wanted to play more directly with noise of various kinds so this piece focuses less on techniques and fancy plugins and more on selection & arrangement of sounds.
I spent many hours going through Reaktor ensembles I've downloaded searching…
Happy Valentine's Day Everyone.
I think this song has grown on me in the last few
days. I'm diggin' it. I hope you all do too. I
wanted to hurry up and get the demo out for
Valentine's Day. Finished at 3:05am. Wha whoooo!
I need to…
Another collaboration between me and guitarist Kerry Hoke. Kerry provided me with four guitar loops. I arranged the loops, added some effects, played a sampled upright bass, programmed some drums, and blended it all together.
My first upload for the 2010 RPM Challenge! I wanted to make a mean-sounding, minimal, instrumental groove track, and this is what I came up with. I tried a bunch of different bass lines, but they all made it sound too busy.

Bustin' out the acoustic. I gotta play with this for a bit.

Actually kinda reminds me of a song from Joe Satriani called "Z.Z's song". Cool stuff!
That was fun. A+ on the homework man.
Plinkety plink! Now I can't wait for my lessons to be begin...although the idea of homework is slightly unnerving.
Beautiful and Sad...

Ever impressive.
Well done. Very retro cool.
Fun stuff. Love the banjo.
Awesome groove. Builds a little like that the theme tune from a Guy Ritchie film.
Crunchy!
Awesome; all you need now is a Barry White stand-in :-)
Groovus interruptus!
loving the dark groove
Really nice flow you've developed across your RPM tracks. Coming along very very nicely.
Holy crap. What a build. Beautiful and inspiring (makes me really glad that I've started playing guitar myself).
