At the end of this road
Red rock and blue skies
And the wind calls
Plant your roots in the ground
And the clean air that the trees share
You can't hear a sound
Deep in the heart of it all
Morning dew at the sunrise
Covered in fog
Fires…
2010 24 hour challenge. Record a 24 minute song in less then 24 hours.
Work has been so crazy music has been taking a back seat. I might have to try this concept again to get anything done on the creative side of things. :)

So I'm back at Caffe Lena on Thursday night gearing up for my two songs and a band called "Driftwood" takes the stage (banjo, acoustic guitar, fiddle) and blows everyone away.
Kinda gets me thinking...

i like to walk on a day like…
My take on Gumbo's Keep Your Eye On The Spot, one of many excellent tracks from his RPM2011 album 'Cat's Moustache'. It's something of a departure from the original, though I was trying to retain an element of the gospel so hopefully its soul…
Sunday aftnoon (11/09/08) took the reso down to the Fort Worth Modern Art Museum and recorded some doodling inside the Serra sculpture Vortex. No effects added, all natural reverb inside the structure.
El vuelo del condor, (the flight of the condor) It's a song i wrote when i was living at Patagonia, i could pass hours watching them flying.
Music: Diego Cardenas (somno project)
Featuring Norm Harris on Percussion!
i hope you like it...
Man, it's one great song to the next tonight. I was hoping you guys would team up, sweet job on the percussion to Norm, and as always Somno brings the ambiance I was craving. Loved it.
in a cool darkened lounge
floors above the cityscape
quiet laughter, clink of ice in glass
D min looks into the eyes of G min
a quiet romance begins
sometimes the best things in life are quite simple
(lots of rough sound on this,, not sure…
As always it evokes emotion. Something about your works always draw me in...I feel you see the music before you play...some inner feeling draws you to the notes you play. I am just stunned...I wish I could play piano like this...so free...not having to worry about where the keys are....your work always amazes me...I am a fan. I thing you and Kavin need to team up on a breaking light feat. Richard side project...his work does the same thing. Have to FAV this one.
From an old song of mine.
Wanted it raw so stuck with the One Guitar one voice thing.
All in all a Two track production (Excluding the drum track.)...

Killer man, I like the gritty feel of it, and your other track with owen. I have been trying to go pretty basic as well. Guitars seem a tiny bit hot, but not overpowering, and I love BIg guitars. Perfect singing, and a fresh sound.
I might have stalled it by not entering a description, I was uploading on the fly from my phone. Love how you still got your comment in there! I and getting way behind on stuff this weekend. I need to do some quality listening tonight and catch up! Hope you got a good 3 day-er man!
This is a recording of Norm and me playing together a few months ago. I didnt have any percussion instruments so Norm was on a Roland electric trap set and I had a cello. I looped some of the stuff we did that night, and retrofitted the rest…
First song listened to this morning, really enjoyed this one. The trap set sounds perfect guys! You always get an amazingly clean recording, also really dug the mellow change up in the middle! Nice!
