so yeah abstract music: I hear there is no known market for these actual creations... then again I am not looking to market them I guess there is no need for you to read this as well it just makes you think the sounds that these letters create.. I could do a complete symphony with words controlling what sounds your brain is thinking, Don't worry about the off button it will sound like this. lala meme mama moe and you get to pick the chorus part as you go

was this in the right place here?
I feel like I'm aloft and tumbling wildly across vistas of 80's virtual reality grids as I'm listening to this like Tron meets a bad case of sunstroke. Nice use of pitch.
I like all the little micro-textures, this pulls my attention in different directions simultaneously, but keeps moving forward as a whole... kind of a strange experience.
That's an amazing experience when you take the time with it. I'm glad I did.
Gets really intense around 20 minutes in. Great work.
Did you ever see that film Melancholia?

I used to play piano for long long hours in the practice rooms at the college. just play like that. thanks for the compliment Chris I could of went on much longer but had a session to go to.

this ambish stuff is from a few years before 2007 when it was transferred to dvd.. the piano is being played in reaction to the sounds in the background and the "looks" and gestures given by the med students there in their lounge.

thanks, Wrinkled shirt, as what part of the idea that is going on is to use the signal static as a tool for sound development...and then filter it some..
this is just too good I have to give the machine's all the credits I did little more then guide them thru this landscapes in timeless experiential effects. I will have the big video that was cut up and layered here before effects soon to see…
Once upon a time there was an online music competition called the Soundevotion Compo or SDC for short. It was more my thing because each round was a month long instead of the more typical week long, day long, or even one or two hour long compos…
SDCompo round 93
Funny thing about this tune is the first draft was an entirely different animal. This version formed toward the end of the round and came together in 5 days.
This one actually placed first.
Getting back to my roots here. This is almost a one-synth song, with most of the parts played by my then newly acquired Hive (mwa ha ha haaaa!). Also features TAL's Bassline 101, which is an excellent SH-101 in VST form, and numerous Voxengo…
yeah the supernova II has very powerful beat creation tools.. like a-h letters of preprogrammed drum mappings going on— and a way to work with them I have never bothered with being a zero beat kind of person– so I took a little time out to put…

Drumming on the skin of what was supposed to, and may yet, be some type of guimbri-type instrument if I can get around to putting strings on it. First with a soft mallet, then with regular drumsticks. Submitted to Sound-In "Percussion" for 3-9…
Dead to the World
Just a shade
A specter, a ghost
No place amongst the society of perfect being!
Dead to the World
Alien, unwanted
Not here, unseen
Untagged, uncounted
Lost, unwanted, despised, no home, no place, no Soul!
Dead…
the end of this is best --- It just works in there--- the this type of buzz saw like noises OGM I love these things.. --- I get these when I tweak the supernova II and use the max feedback for digital delay and level maxed out with the time at like zero to 1 to two .. the smallest intervals for that .. it is greatness. these sounds.
Recorded live to 4-track cassette, then live mixed to digital. Condenser mic -> V-Amp 2 (output 1) -> Lexicon LXP-5 -> Yamaha MT4X
" ( " 2) -> EHX Stereo Memory Man -> Zoom RFX-300 Yamaha MT4X
Tin whistles…
Two tracks recorded with my bohlen-pierce travel guitar in cubasis on an ipad using Zoom UAC-2 interface and ammooon wireless set. Reverb is cubasis default.
I looked up the amiga --- I had used them in 1987-1988 at the rutgers computer art lab and video area.. I did not use them too much they would take time to do animations and stuff--- 000 very cool this uses an AMIGA1200 --- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amiga_1200. great groove going on too-
Same source as "Puffing Billy... " but stretched even more. The title is one of those that come from what I hear, in this case near the end of the piece.
Submitted to Sound-In for 5-12/11/2020.
this sounds just fun... -- I like this... there maybe be ways to intermix the changes at the 12 bar interface with a kind of blending maybe? course that would be a different song,..
Comments on Newbold's stuff
Ewe this has a sinister after taste to it.
I like the static chaos placed against the more calm, flowing synth beneath.
enjoyed it man, dont mind about market, just create things like this

Trippy, chaotic, bubbly, cosmic brew. Heady track... Hits the spot, I like it.
Great use of movement. It's almost more of a tangible thing than aural, if that makes any sense.
yep like nineteen min thirty seconds is where the intense stuff gets started.. :)
kind of space jam.good

it is like chewing at the sheets of rainbows looking for a way to the other side, when I am on the other side already.

I've never heard you play something like this before - very nice!
liked you track a lot! Perreko

In the state-OF-mind that I'm currently in, this sounds perfect. Deep.
this is... like being inside of a factory at night when the machines wake up and devise artifacts of their alien will.
