Brilliant song! Love the complex patterns and also the "drone" soundscape in the background (yes, I would guess it is done with a modular synth, but I know you do not use that :-))

"High Life" is a musical genre that originated in Ghana in the 1900s and spread to Sierra Leone, Nigeria and other West African countries by 1920. My friends from that part of the world consider this be the "go-to" rhythm for just about anything…
Out on the lawn there arose such a clatter!
Sometimes, as they say, Christmas do come early. I found Johnny Stone's "Christmas Rock In Oz" under the tree and couldn't wait until Yuletide to unwrap it. What a rockin' gift! I know a bit about…

It was a curious and wondrous thing.
One night I was in my studio adding some percussion to the "Quiet Rituals" track by Barry van Oudtshoorn, when my 4 young children (with whom I was long over-due to be tucking into bed and reading a bed…

Man, i need to go back through all your collabs now...:) This is yet another great track. I think your kids had the right idea, it fits perfect with the music man!
You're just kidding yourself if you thought I could resist the chance to add a bit of percussion to this wonderful song by Osckilo & Launched. I used Paiste Sound Discs to create a 3vs.4 polyrhythm against the delightful underlying 4/4 Spanish…

Desirea has done a number on Reg, she stole his Credit cards birth certificate and passport and has cloned him to at least a dozen banks that he knows of. He has lost his house his car everything he has./ And to top it all he cant sleep for missing…
Well it's hit poor old Reg hard today that it's finally over between him and Desirea so he's written a blues song to exorcise his pain........I've actually tried to put my own drum beat down on this one by using the keyboard as my drums and working…
Well Reg still hasn't cheered up ...memories of Desirea keep coming back to haunt him he thought it would be a new year a new start .....which it would be if he could only leave the past behind him......so he got the acoustic down of the wall…
That bitch! Perhaps we should make a public service announcement album dedicated to Desirea to (hopefully, but doubtfully) protect others from her seductive evilness.
Reg is back with Desirea he's trying to put their past behind him. What can he do he loves here......
AS LONG AS I HAVE YOU

I look in your eyes and I see a soul baring blue
Nobody knows you…
Regs. You should have called me in your moment of weakness. I would have tried to talk you off of that ledge. You know she is no good for you. You (like many others, may I remind you) have already crashed that car too many times.
You gave her your credit card number, didn't you?
I fear this will not be the last song you write about that rabid bitch wolf in heat.
Great job Ally. Great voice. Great keys. Great guitar work.
It is very kind of you to slum with a drummer who really doesn't do you any justice. You know who to call next time...
Norm played the percussion first, which is a Bembe pattern; I couldnt help playing a melody and creating lyrics for this perc track. Thanks for the listen, Enjoy!
this was originally a song about breaking through paradigms but turned into a song about a girl.
Keys and string samples from Korg, MIDI with the old Ensoniq,
one diving board.
Thanks for the listen ,enjoy... RW
Didnt get the album out for RPM this year, but did have some time to make some music in Feb. Dylan is one of my favs . lowered the BPM quite a bit and truncated the lyrics to fit, which Im pretty sure put my wife to sleep, lol Enjoy!
Lyrics…
I recorded the sound samples at St Marks Basilica on the spot....the story you are about to hear is true; not even the names have changed to protect the innocent.
All of a sudden, Mercy. Just like that.
Everything: Reefwalker
Percussion: Norm
Sound Bite: A bad-assed sage, who is very special to us.
Etching: Bob Coronato
Gene sent me over this beaut of a funky backer of the song by Tower of Power a real tounge tister i'm guilty of the vocals Gene did the good bit Thanks Gene
Reg, you may be the only person I know that loves this song as much as I do. Even Reefwalker is way too young for this. Such a shame!
As I have always told you, your strength is funk. And this is about as funky as it gets.
BUMP CITY!!!
A collab with Tod from the other side....Thanks Tod..... i'm responsible for the waffle & lead ....Thanks for listening
Drink the whiskey
The earth has burned nothing here will grow
It’s just a dust bowl and earth as hard as bone
There…
She does that to all of us Reg. Over and over again. Don't take it personal.
If it makes you feel any better, her dog ran away and now lives at my house.
After several bottles of wine, thetworegs and I were able to coerce Elvis and a few others down in regs basement to come out for a long overdue collab. After all, isn't October collab month?
Thanks again for the great vox!!
Wait. Desirea is back on the scene? When did she get sprung from the Big House? Has she actually gone to any of her anger management classes?
(And how is she looking now days?)

Should it be "A Fool for Your Stockings feet" Thetworegs? I love Reg's basement, but come on! Charlie, get it together!!
As always, great voice and tasty licks.
MORE COLLABS!

Not sure if I should be wiggling about like this, hey why not!
Slick-ster deluxe. Very colorful.

How many times has she ruffied you Reg? Be honest!
Reg, it is NEVER actually over with that girl. Nothing she does suprises me anymore.

Mesmerizing. Well, there is no hiding our hearts from you Savage, because you just tore them all out with this one. Great lyrics and Igor nailed it.

This song changed my life!
Epic. Part of my personal trilogy of yours.
Excellent, as usual.
Such a magnificent moment in time... and this brings it all back. There are no innocents.
Tell me, exactly who could actually stay on that horse? Then I will tell you. The bad-assed sage would have worn that pony out.

Ok. You have had enough fucking time to get warmed up. Let's do something.
I think that you should stop complaining until the whiskey is gone.
What part of this is Carl Jr? Fuck

Aww, Tess. So good to hear you again. Delightful!

O. M. G. What a voice! Throw your cheesy drum tracks on to the fire. You will not ever need them again. I will follow you to the end of the world!
