Abakua refers to a secret, Afro-Cuban, male society of percussionists - as I understand it, one had to be initiated into this society before they would be taught how to play percussion in their style. One of their hallmarks is to impose what I…

excellent collab indeed, and a great tune! the original has a rather intimate feel, adding your percs turned it all into a get-together afternoon, under the sun, with good buddies and let the jammin' goes its own way..

Instantaneously Yours is an internet collaboration between excellent percussionist Norm Harris and myself. I added 12 string, fretless bass and fretless ebowed guitar to Norm's Groove for Saint Ambrose. Since this was done for fun as a serial…

Don't you know that you are supposed to watch that movie while listening to "Dark Side Of The Moon"?

This is a one guitar (Fender Mustang) improvisation leveraging my GR-20 into bass guitar, strings, synth wash + strumming and percussion. At 2:58 my low A string breaks and then my left forearm and hand cramps up. But it was fun as it lasted.
This is a cover of a wonderful song by Yoko Kanno, Steve Conte, & Shanti Snyder.
Music by Brian Vaughn

Just a rough version of a song I plan to record properly during this coming February's RPM Challenge.

I'm glad that it is day time here - this extraordinary sound seems to lend itself to the mysticism of the early hours. (Oh dear, I've become a blatant plagiarist.)
Lovely sounds. What a great memory of your dad.

Most sympathetic and gorgeous. What I like about it is you haven't tried to compete, just complete and the outcome is wonderful.
How on earth do you make your drums sing like that? Understated, melodic, compulsive. I think you are brilliant!
BRILLIANT. I enjoyed every second...except the one after it ended. ;)
Nice collab Norm! I'm about half way done with mine with a couple of your tracks, can't wait to share it!
Sweet heavens this is fantastic. Sheeeeit thats so good.

Excellent.

How can I resist a bad monkey song? That devil has been in my trees too. Excellent! (Nice bump Reg)
Wow indeed!

Harmonious harmonies!
It is not. Well, classical, yes. Flubbed, no.
