Gramma's Chair
July 17 - Her chair is in my studio, as well as one of her old suitcases that I use as a table. She was so dear to me. The verses would need to be re-worked, and it’s kinda long.
VERSE:
It sits there in the corner
The fabric’s pretty worn
It’s mere presence makes me stronger
I sometimes see her in its form
CHORUS:
Gramma’s Chair
Reminds me of her kindness
The hugs she loved to give
Every time that I was near
Gramma’s Chair
And even though it’s empty now
She’ll always be by my side
In Gramma’s Chair
Gramma’s Chair
Gramma’s Chair
VERSE:
The scent of her perfume
Lingers in the fabric
This cherished heirloom
Will always be a classic
Playing cards together
Best biscuits you ever had
The blackjack trees in stormy weather
And I truly never saw her mad
CHORUS:
Gramma’s Chair
Reminds me of her kindness
And the hugs she loved to give
Every time that I was near
Gramma’s Chair
And even though it’s empty now
She’ll always be by my side
In Gramma’s Chair
Gramma’s Chair
