Something for the end of my RPM 2010 album.

Another tale of my life. It started when I saw a homeless man standing at the end of an exit ramp. He was holding a cardboard sign and accepting "donations". I wondered if that would be me before long, then this song started playing in my head. ER

Another angry song. My boss once handed me a spreadsheet about cost prices from vendors and said "I don't like the way this looks". I wondered if the upper management looked at salary costs the same way, and that led to this song.

This is probably the darkest song I've ever done, at least as far as lyrical tone goes. Sometimes life just doesn't seem worth the effort. Then I look at my lovely bride and realize that it is.

Inspired by Neil Gaiman's Sandman series (my favorite reading material). What would happen if Death came for you, like in the series. This is that conversation.

About a special place...its not called Laurelie, but I liked the lyricism of that word.
