Hi Richard, the tuning I used for the Magic of Belief has much more than major or minor and I used almost all of the. The opening plays with the chords CDG, CEbG CEb^G (a "neutral" third about half way between minor and major) and CEG (except the E is a purer 3rd than 12 equal)
The main motive bottoms out at what my ears are telling me is a neutral interval against a D neutral chord (but I'm not 100% sure, I didn't work it out - could be D minor)

Union of mind, or in us both one soul;
Harmony to behold in wedded pair
More grateful than harmonious sound to the ear.
John Milton - Paradise Lost, Book 08
More ambient experimentation with my fretless guitar and Roland GR20. This time I used some sounds from the magnetic pickups as well as the midi pickup. Kind of a cheesy synth patch I know, but it was working for me!
how nice,,,like the way you build into the story,,,i like the multi tonality the various instruments give, especially the snare drums? ,(if that's the right name), if you have a chance to listen,, i have a piano solo version of the same storm posted here,,, a bit different in temper,, but still the same storm,,, this is very fine r
Trampled

A quickly improvised tune with some stream-of-consciousness lyrics. Written/recorded hastily in the dead of night on Tuesday 11/27 with a short overdub session on Thursday 11/29, when I should have been sleeping.
All basic tracks…
Me and JK seem to have These at the moment.....
Uncanny really....
A dilemma (Greek: ??-????? "double proposition") is a problem offering two possibilities, neither of which is practically acceptable.
very cool,, don't know the cover, but i like what you are doing here,,it's very neat that the piece happens on different levels, some of it almost background and some fore ground, like i say don't know the original,, this is very nice
Another cut from the 1988 cassette tape of a live performance by Scartaglen on the NPR show Mountain stage. This time some tunes from County Kerry.
Kirk Lynch- Uilleann pipes and whistle. Becky Pringle- Fiddle. Mike Dugger- Fiddle and guitar…
yessssss, very nice, what joy to play amongst/with such fine players!!! coming from a solo point of view,, i marvel at the interplay,,,energy and spirit r

BETWEEN - 11-27/28-12
I step out of the car
I don't know where we are
Somewhere between a planet
A planet and a star
I never dreamed I'd end up
in a place like this
The Multnomah Falls is up the Columbia Gorge
Somewhere between Portland…
I got me a new mic and a pre-amp and I picked up the Jumbo Eko (I'll do this again when my fingertips have recovered). I tried to do finger picking when I was a teen, but didn't pursue it as it seemed like too much hard work at the time. Today…

The pipes and the little Latin flourishes in the melody reminds my of Ennio Morocone. Only slightly though because it also sounds very unique :)
Missed this one too? What? How beautiful! Richard, you have a beautiful gift. w;-)
How did I miss this?! Gorgeous! w;-)
Welcome back, richard. And again, many thanks for your kind words. And yes, you are right about the strings/piano/percs blend.
