This would make great background music for the recent Carnival Cruise Trimumph disaster.
I can just picture those 4,000 souls floating out on the Gulf of Mexico.
First of my rpm traks,, this year i am going to try to learn a bit about composing for midi orchestra, with that in mind i have began (in jan) to read several books on midi orchestration, orchestration and counterpoint,,, while these will probably…
I've been messing with MIDI for about 3 years now. I find the closer to middle C, the more realistic the instrument sounds. I'd be interested in knowing what software your using here. Sounds excellent.
RPM #2, first thank you all for the comments on rpm 1,, once again i forage into the world of midi orchestration,,, while i am beginning with strings and woodwinds,, this is a section from a string piece i am working on,, that somehow led me to…

rpm #4,, i love watching the local birds,, in winter they seem a bit more eager, in my imagination,, they must spend more of their time sitting around their wood stoves, munching on seeds and telling stories of summer days, all the while as the…

Classical Clones
Artist's description:
Something I found on tape - the best of the 6 pieces.
Me preforming a Villa Lobos piece about 1977 - a recording made while preparing for a recital…
I like IT!!!,, very nicely played, also you continue to amaze me with your production intensity, ah i hear Pyewacket,,, mine Dachshund Howie,, has a particular habit of howling whenever i play Bach,,, it's sort of funny (to me at least) i have thought of making a video of he and i in duet,,, anyhow well played friend
One could use this to compare the changes I made to accommodate the change in tuning because this is the Centaur tuned piece but I changed the master tuning back to "standard" 12 equal.
So I'm back at Caffe Lena on Thursday night gearing up for my two songs and a band called "Driftwood" takes the stage (banjo, acoustic guitar, fiddle) and blows everyone away.
Kinda gets me thinking...
And writing...
"Driftwood"
Coming down…
Well, I should give some background. Sometimes, for me, the difference in tunings are hard to discern - I don't have perfect or even good relative pitch discrimination. So I can get fooled. The Prelude for a Centaur tuned piano was actually composed…
indeed i thought the 1st was very "wholesome", this is the same piece, note wise as the former? if not if seems very similar to me,,, i enjoy both,, this one might have a bit more bite? anyway well done
This is a recording of Norm and me playing together a few months ago. I didnt have any percussion instruments so Norm was on a Roland electric trap set and I had a cello. I looped some of the stuff we did that night, and retrofitted the rest…
Just a simple humble ditty, one of a handful I've been playing on the piano lately.
I haven't been in the mood to do much recording in the last months — or more specifically, haven't been in the mood to flesh out and arrange tunes. So this…
nice,, myself sometimes i carry a whole head full of ideas around,, until something happens and i just record and see what happens,, once again well done
~timeless~
Rhythms of modern life, which comes from the environment and force us to follow, are often (let say, always) does not correspond to our inner rhythms. First, we do not have time to stop, think, or simply do nothing. Then when we…
Well, this may be the final tweaking of this nice little sing along song...
I sent this fun little sing along off to Jim of MTC fame, and once again he has outdone himself... And I can't thank him and his wife (who appears covertly) enough…
A song about meeting up with each other this year for some music and booze next week.
Lyrics-
i need some space
i need some time
just to rehearse
for the viking dance
what should i wear
what should i bring
what will we sing…
well it sounds like its been a night for the clinking of ice in glasses,,, gotta say that photo is making me a bit thirsty.... this piece has a rich texture to it
I plugged my Fender Mustang directly into the Zoom H2 and monitored with head phones while sitting on my bed and played around. This is a compressed version of one of the things I did. I've been pretty sick the past few days but I needed to…
