Hi Richard, there is a contest to make microtonal demo tunes with MOTU. Selection of contestants is over and now we all must make at least 3 microtonal demonstration pieces. The Dance of the Unicorn is in a werckmeister equal beating variant.
this prelude is very nice. the descending register pattern is a nice variation. I see you sneak in the left hand :-)

Lovely Richard glad to hear some more orchestral stuff on here.
I don't play the piano pieces by the way I'm not even Grade 1 on piano! All computer generated but I hope to get them performed soon.
Cheers beautiful music here!
Owen
warning!!! this is a long 10+ min instrumental
It's a piece about 4 years old that was my first attempt at using synth voices,, I am still looking for a good one,, if anyone knows.
The music itself is a tone poem, loosely dedicated to a children…
This is fabulous! The instruments perfectly compliment one another, in fact, they dance! And the synth voices sound great - much better than any I've found! Wonderful piece of music, beautifully performed.

Hi Richard - I don't like being bored :-) I also am experimenting with some success with microtonal music as well. Drop by www.notonlymusic.com and www.chrisvaisvil.com some time.
Now.... this is a lovely sensitive piece!

Your development as a composer is stunning since a year ago when I checked your last RPM record out. I owe you a proper review of this record, which I will follow-through on soon. All that aside, this track is so pretty... really great all around. Good job!

I really enjoyed the listen of this album. Though I am a 'roots' americana guy myself, I love classical and probably listen to this style more than to any other. I especially love the interplay of lines which make the harmonies as opposed to chord-based pop music. Your selections very nicely fed this appreciation. Thanks for making the world a bit more beautiful, awe-inspiring and majestic.
Very Smooth, great late night listening, (or any time for that matter)turn the lights down low, sit back and relax,, ps where was this live recording done?
Great song, soft rock,,, your guitar playing is very fine,,,question is there a drop out about 2 min into the piece,, could just be my speakers,, their not very good...nice work

Girls! Women! Birds! Chicks! This song's about all the pretty girls out there (and you know who you are)! This song celebrates each and everyone of them.
another fun song-- nice instrumental tracks,, my only comment is that the vocal and instrumental seem to be just about the same volume level,, meaning each seems to be competing with each other without either one taking the lead,,
Inspired by the book Musicophilia by Oliver Sacks. An earworm (or brainworm as Sacks espouses) is that catchy melody that sticks in your brain that you just can't shake.
"upbeat pop-rock" to be sure,, earworm is a fun little tune that just boars into you.... though the volume seem a little low to me -- compared to other music on the site

Have had some time to listen to this in my car during the work week. Excellent piece, took some time to wrap my head around it completely.

wow, beautiful and intense!
wonderful composition! bach-like elements with an overall reverential quality, i like this very much.

Thanks for the listen and comment on the improv Richard!
Ah, great arrangement, Richard!
Hey Richard! Great stuff... LOVE the strings!!! Great "sit back, think, and feel" music for me... Just outstanding.
interesting,,, i hear many bach motifs strung throughout,, do you ever listen to the WTC such as preludes 1 ? ,,, well anyway well done R
beautiful. Wish I still had keys with a choir sound like that. I used to have a mirage keys...and they sounded alot like the keys u used.
2:30 into it, very nice. Love the contrast between the sections.

Kind of reminds me of the way ripples move out from a stone dropped in water,,very nice

Nice mellow track, what instrument is that?
Great guitar, your voice matches up well with the music, carnival ending is nice
Great song, soft rock,,, your guitar playing is very fine,,,question is there a drop out about 2 min into the piece,, could just be my speakers,, their not very good...nice work
Very nice,, with my sound/speakers it's hard for me to clearly hear the vocals,, but the music is well played and very interesting,
Pure Magic....like most good instrumentals,, they begin with a good simple main theme, and then follow through with interesting variations
and about 5 min into the piece it goes rock,, what more can you ask!!!
very evocative, soulful, bluesy, and a little jazzy like a liquid poem
No. 3 is a sweet,thoughtful piece
Interesting,,,sweet and pastoral

Good rock song, music is well crafted, and work well with vocals, a fun upbeat song

Oosterzee -- nice tune, great musicianship ie playing and arrangement
