Anything that has the title, "Desert Sunset", has me right away. I miss them deeply. The music delivers what the title suggests. I will be returning to listen, repeadtedly. On, the song you commented on "This Strange Parade", you were right, it was over 40mbs, perhaps that's why the music was cut off at the end, and the chorus just goes for a stroll naked, so to speak- it was just cut at 40mb's. Thanks for your knid comments by the way. Dan Gipson
So question for you.. how did you record the piano for this album?
And I realized later that you hadn't specifically asked what I was using on one of my piano songs.. so to answer your earlier question: It was Reason+Record for that song, with "built-in" sounds as well some refills (notably the Reason Pianos that I mentioned).
Lovely!
To answer your question... currently I'm using the Reason pianos refill. I've also used NI's Akoustik, Ableton Live Suite's grand piano, and an Alesis QS7 in reverse chronological order. :)
a very lovely, rich, stylish, journey,,,, your music holds so much more than just for the ear alone,,,, i like this indeed! ps are those recorders or picaloes in accompaniment or something else? r
interesting,, i was watching the video,, pretty creative,, sometimes i feel like an over seas visitor, as i listen to your music,, not sure i always understand,, but i always find it interesting and a bit mind enlarging,, happy friday r
very beautiful! ,, odd as this may seem,, i almost get a sense of a 50's rock beat/cord type of structure,,, not sure why i associate this way,, this quite nice r
Here's request Carry on my Wayward son by Kansas we had.... again Gene has outdone himself with some superb musicianship ......and i've again had the easy job with the vocals...thanks Gene
very cool,, i enjoyed this!! sounds like you know how to have a good time on the keys,, as a side note i do notice a bit of distortion on the higher octaves
For the grandchildren, when I get some!
Moonbee started life as a doodle, then he was turned into a little story, then a song!
This is Part 1 of the series - I have no idea how many there will be in total!
Enjoy! xox
P.S. This is…

Dig this one! The polyrhythms (if that's the term) really give me the sense of rain falling, too.
