billy boy where did you go

sittin in a pile of snow

come on down its gettin cold

for the time is getting old

well we made our way to the old wigwam

frozen lake and wind was calm

standing bow did strike a deer

to feed the tribe for half a year

well.it sneaks up fast on you

like the snow getting in your shoe

watch your breath rise in the air

your not there, your not there

Billy boy

Billy boy where did you go?

where the sky wont rain and the wind wont blow

did you burn one down on the way back home

sitting shotgun all alone

shaman came from hollow bone

turn lakota into stone

in the black bird lodge he tells a tale

of brothers lost on spirit trail

well it sneaks up fast on you

like the snow getting in your shoe

watch your breath rise in the air

your not there , your not there

billy boy

I can't say just what it is I like about this but I do like it. Sophisticated yet primitive, world music sounds... I don't remember hearing anything quite like it.

Wonderful song, James, very innocent and dreamy. It builds in increments very nicely and is well paced. Has a sort of Blue Nile meets Peter Gabriel flavor.
