I read about the technique, used by Steve Reich, of playing multiple copies of the same audio at different speed to create phase differences.
I decided to do a little experiment and built myself a Reaktor ensemble using 3 granular sampler units…
I told the [good Sister](http://alonetone.com/sistersavage) that I wanted to try using vocals in a track and she offered to do me some abstract, stylized, vocals that I could play with and this little number is the result.

THIS IS SICK. Thanks for the props on my new stuff, too. I got the glitched out sounds by time stretching some old woman talking and offsetting multiple takes of the same clip. Thanks again.

I wanted to make a track for halloween but technology problems and time have conspired that I didn't get very far.
However I'm uploading the first couple of minutes of what I have.
Have a spooky night!

This is a remix of my earlier track [Metaphysical Beat 2](http://alonetone.com/sandbags/tracks/metaphysical-beat-2). In fact it's the 4th remix but the first one I'm really happy with. I even found myself trying to dance along to this when I…

Yeah boy! This one has the potential to be a real groovin' tune.. even flirts with club (don't throw your shoe at me if it offends you).. I too can here a 4-floor beat jump in around 02:20 or so.. drop off at 03:45 and picks back up right before 04:00..looking forward to wherever you take this-- I'm really liking your rhythmic/atmospheric direction..
An ambient guitar piece done rather quickly, warts and all.
Stems from ideas I've been developing on my new JamMan looper pedal (catnip for guitarists if there ever was such a thing).
That was lovely. I can quite easily see how you would just jam for hours and never get around to recording. Which probably means you should be on stage!
Okay this is one for the serious noise freaks only.
This is three instances of Loop Shifter that I played in real time using my Novation Launchpad.
Turns out the launchpad makes a great keyboard for loop shifter, better than a real keyboard…
Thanks folks. When I put this one up I was afraid it would be a bit far out but, on repeated listenings, I think it's more accessible than I imagined. Glad you like it.
Body Disconnected (2002) was written to accompany choreography by Lauren Lutrell. The process included importing video clips of dance movements into the music programs I was using and scoring music to them as one might with a film soundtrack…
This is a beautiful work. The various sections are interesting in themselves but I also love how you've blended them together, the changes work really well. Bravo!
Love this. I've tried to make pieces like this but it's beyond my talent for arrangement at this point. I love how you've blended traditional sounds with experimental timbres. Nicely done!
Oh you've outdone yourself this time. What a wonderful piece. By three minutes I was being propelled through the inky void towards unknown stars. I could have listened to this **forever**.
This is a first test of a sequencer I built, using Max for Live, based on Audio Damage's latest plugin [Axon](http://www.audiodamage.com/instruments/product.php?pid=AD026).
Axon looks great but I'm saving for a Mac Pro so, to save money, I…
I've really enjoyed these tracks you've just uploaded but this one is easily my favourite. Evocative blending of sounds with a sketchy vocal that really fits. Nicely done.
this was an accidental song. I was making another song for which the main two loops of this song were simply the ending. The first of these loops is so visually stunning, I just knew It was its own bar.
More LoopShifted piano accompanied by Stylus RMX and Omnisphere. At over eight minutes it's perhaps a little self-indulgent but maybe it's more like punting down the river Styx than jet-skiing on a lake of fire.
Ah mes non, it appears I have mislead you. What sounds like a guitar is in fact.. a guitar. It's one of the very nice lap steel guitars from Omnisphere and I play the chords I used for the piano part which was used to create the main glitchmosphere.
Very raw, completely improved piece. One track, one take.
Guitar -> GT-10 -> JamMan Stereo
A touch of Discord 3 was added as a send effect. Limiting on the master track. Et voila.
Sorry about the clipping.
Recommended listening…
Here's to insignificance my friend. May you never be squashed like a bug.
Instruments used: Kontakt, LoopShifter, Stylus RMX
Effects used: Eos, DubStation, Replicant, Augustus Loop
Comments on Mr Sandbags's stuff
This is sooo beautiful! I'm drifting, I'm floating, I'm dreaming... w;-)
That's so relaxing! I'll keep an eye out for your library contribution.
This is so so so so oh so gorgeous...
This is wonderful. I think I could listen to this for hours. I used to spend a lot of time listening to Glass and Reich, thanks for reminding me.
Quite hypnotic- I like!
yeah, this is awesome... I too could listen to this all day
Very soothing. I could listen to this all day... I might just try.
Oh...my. Beautiful! Like the moment before the release of total madness.
THIS IS SICK. Thanks for the props on my new stuff, too. I got the glitched out sounds by time stretching some old woman talking and offsetting multiple takes of the same clip. Thanks again.
very well constructed. Some great sounds where do you get them
I tell you what, Sandbags, you made mixing history with this one!
Damn it! Now I'm gonna have to sleep with the lights on! w;-)
Ooooh! I'm scared now! Lovely- in a disturbing way of course!
Creaky zombie feasty noises. Am hungry now. Brrrring me a villager.
Yeah- groovin' indeed! Like it!
the new additions are great! definitely groovin' there!
Great rhythm, Sandbaggio.
Superb work. On your way to churning out the club hits :-) /me ducks the shoe :-)
Oh Yeah- this is headed somewhere good alright! Love the beats

Short but sweet.
This is another of those tracks where I look for the 'double favourite' button in vain.
I enjoyed this a lot. Would that I would be able to improvise like this one day.

Strangeness after my own heart.
Really enjoyed this one, some great sounds and placement of those sounds.
Yeah my apologies to all listeners for not putting a fat reverb tail on this one. I wasn't thinking too hard. I might do that an re-upload it.
Love this.

Awesome. Yes there was a bit of clipping in there but who cares really? This was very listenable.
Now I'm feeling all left out because I have no headphones :(
I think after all I like this version best. It has a smooth, easy feel to it, like cruising through the night on a deserted motorway.
Lovely way to slide into the morning.
