Way to smash it all together. Don't take that the wrong way. That's the only word I could think of right now. You have a much better grasp of music than me.
Hoorrrrray! My wish came true, we did a version of this instrumental with real instruments!
And the band was:
Guitars: Frank Zax
Drums: Mark Cole
Bass: Andy Gupta
Music & Production: Steffen Offermann
Enjoy!
Just a little piano ballad - another old composition. The strings have not been mixed/edited too well, sorry for that. I'll fix it some day.

This was one of my first compositions ever (I started writing songs in 2004/2005). I don't have the original audio seps any more, just this MP3 file, so I cannot do a decent remix. And I'm too lazy to re-do it all from scratch. :)

I love this! Sounds like Bowie doing the vox! A beautiful, mysterious track that reminds me a bit of the songs from 'Cabaret'. It's completely wonderful.

The part up to the chorus sounds like the early Cat Stevens, before you morph into David Essex again. :D
Great stuff, Andy! I'm not sure if the clicks come from the internet connection (or did you want to create a vintage vinyl impression?). But I'll download the track anyway, so I'll soon know. :)
The mix is a little bass heavy, but the song is still great.
Thanks @JMT and @Wildgeas!
I just uploaded a new mix with Andreas Hülsen on drums. He used an electronic kit with the same samples that I had used in my version, so when he sent me the MIDI file, I was able to reproduce the original sound, just with the human feel of a real drummer playing the drums. :)

I would love to finish this song - with YOUR vocals. Nobody can interpret your lyric as authentically as yourself.
Please let me know if you're up for it!

I had this tune in my head for years before I finally sat down and recorded a quick draft of it. I would like to record this with real instruments (acoustic guitar + electric lead guitar).
Anybody interested in helping me?
I wrote this little ditty back in May, did an acoustic demo and then played it to one or two people. I always meant to do something a bit more, er, "expansive" with the thing... So I stuck it in the corner for a bit and forgot about it.

Nice, bluesy rendition. :) The vocals are heavily out of sync though - you should fix that in your DAW.

70's rock all down the line. I love the background vocals and all the guitar work.
I think the drums could be more upfront, and I can imagine some percussion too. That would be the icing on the cake.
But anyway, a great song! Very well done.

So lovely, I hope someone or sometwo take you up on it!
This is a great piece. When i find time i will try some guitar with it :D
a nice love song with some fun effects thrown in. I lot of character to this gives it a unique sound and personal touch. Great work by all involved.
It is a great mix on such fine song. Great vocal performance.
I am a fan of oriental sounding music, but the flute is so gorgeous in there. Love your melody. Delicious!
Fantastic mix.
Lovely stuff - warming.
thanks for the mix Steffen, great work mate!
And the ending is extra super double freakin' awesome! Great, cute tune.
Fantastic. Great lyrics. Strangely Beatlesque.

Oh, yes, the new version sounds even better. The bass still sticks out a little on some notes, but overall it sounds great.
I love the retro vibe of this (and actually all your other songs, too). Great arrangement, composition, everything!
It's always nice to come back and listen to some of your songs. I just wish there was more (spare) time in a day.
Cool, I never knew you were Bob Dylan's brother, James. ;)

It really does not matter which of your songs I listen to - they are ALL great. Thanks for making them available here at Alonetone!
I love it! It has a nice 60s/70s touch that I like.
FINALLY: The song has been recorded with real guitars and bass! :) http://alonetone.com/stoman/tracks/summer-rain-1

With the video it gets even better. I love your performance! Great to see you "live".
That's perfect, Andy! Oh, you attached a video - I only noticed that now. Guess I'll listen one more time then. :)
Wonderful. Adding more instruments can't make this any better. It's perfect as it stands.

Cool song, very nice.
Hey, this one has a great drive. A perfect country/blues rocker.
Great songwriting, as usual. The mix sounds a bit rough to me, but I love the arrangement.
Gooood one! :) You know how to do that stuff. Great job!
