This is the first cover song I've ever really recorded in my 15 years of playing and recording.

Very nice! Great guitarwork (and excellently delicate vocals)... The opening brings me back to old Simon and Garfunkel in just about every way. Well done, Sudara!
First draft.
Dedicated to my mother on her birthday.
In the outro: Trombone, Horns, Clarinets, Mouthpiece buzz by Andy Hentz (arrsuarez) and organic drum related sounds by Glu.
I could see this song on like a season finale of a tv show or something, its not a bad thing i like the song. It was the first thing that came to mind.

Poured myself a small cup of acoustic guitar, half finger picking, half ebow. Nothing fancy, nothing magical, nothing fantastical, just something to relax through.
I do three things after waking up these days: I shower. I make coffee. I play this song and drink my coffee.
Nothing complicated. Nothing fancy. Just some basic fingerpicking to test my motor skills and bring some aural sunshine into my day.

the sun has set here on the west california coast,,, after a beautiful day,,, it's a great time to either make music or listen to it,, the glow on the mountains is a soft blue/white/green,,, a perfect time to think about and listen to this snack
Otherwise known as the 'opus'. This song was my life for a good year. Left forgotten in the dusty hills of Santa Fe. This is pretty much the A section :)
I made this simple song to try out playing an acoustic guitar with an ebow. It works, but it's quite quiet. The movement of the fingers on the fretboard is louder than the sounds. I didn't use any effects on the guitar tracks.
I recorded my voice…
Something I'm working on. I'm a sucker for 5/4 time these days.
The biggest issue is the vocals which are sort of a placeholder right now until I re-write and re-record them, or maybe even find someone who can actually sing to lay something down!
Sweeeeeet. Wow, awesome drums, awesome rhythm, loving it, really nice organsynth/guitar. Ending kicks some ass, love the way the beat drops back in. Only problem with the vocals that I hear is that they are hidden/not loud enough, but that's for my taste :)
Go Go Go! We should invent a new word for these kind of collaborations. Maybe "hand-offs" or "tag-team" or hrm...I basically got to sit back and watch the tune become awesomer without lifting a finger. Win! I'll try and think up a good word. Nice job.
Experimenting with my piano/keyboard skillz and a first attempt at record clapping. Needs a good go over with some quality drums and some better arranging. Everything sounds very "synthy" on account of I don't have any quality VSTi at the moment.
Ooooh, that bass is Juicy Fruit, love it. Clapping turned out really well. Gotta admit, I wanted it to build up and keep going! But I'm happy to be teased too :) Did you use compression at all, or is everything completely clean?
What'chcu using these days as a DAW anyway? Good thing I ask you these detailed questions when alonetone doesn't let you reply back in a threaded way (who built this darned site anyway!) - but heck, I'm curious.
An experiment in simplicity. Back to the basics. It's the only counter to stagnation. Don't over think!
This was pieced together quickly while in front of the microphone. Revisiting the editing/mastering process was fun.

This one's for that little black and tan, Nahannah.

Congrats brando on finishing! Lots of tasty aural morsels in these tracks, it's really an amazing body of work that you pumped out in 24 hours. Amazing. Enjoy the sleeeeeeep!
It's great to hear your voice being supported by other instruments than guitar, it's a whole other world. Is there more to this song, or is it just the short but very sweet 1 min?
For our beautiful son Willem, in French Guillaume.
recorded in my livingroom, 16-7-2009.
I called the song Guillaume before because of the beautiful sound.
Since 2012 I changed the title of the song into : Willem.
Because that makes much…
Inge, thanks for this, I was really happy to see that you uploaded some new tracks (well, and old). What a beautiful song. Your voice as always, is just absolutely *flawless*.
Solo acoustic finger picking thing I've been working on for a while. Sometime around 1968 I started studying with Mr. George Bennett who taught me the rudiments of finger picking. Later when we played some gigs together he also taught me the rudiments…
I've been trying to write a comment here for a good 10 minutes, but nothing is coming out right. I'm so very happy and honored you put your music up here, we are lucky to have you.
This song was made by two different piano samples (both
from Sudara):
1. One was recorded by Sudara (and gang?) axing away at a hapless old piano in New Mexico.
2. today, I convinced Sudara to noodle on the piano and send it over to me…
This is awesome. Just awesome.
By the way, a photo of the destruction in progress can be found adorning [this playlist](http://alonetone.com/sudara/playlists/last-ditch-effort)
Originally a very different song, slowed to a dragging pace and laced with dense moans of twisted agony. There's a little bit of John MacDonald on lead guitar in the build too.
Hi Brando. So I have this song. It's either inspired by / ripped off from / a tribute to....YOU and this album bust out. I wrote it months ago melodically, but never stuck lyrics to it. I want to dust it off and bring it out. I was just hammering the piano playing it when I thought "hey, actually it would be really cool to have 2 different voices on it, or to work directly with brando on it in some way." - Interested? Not sure how your life looks these days, but if you like I can send you a raw piano/la la la version with a note about my intentions, and you can see if you like it.
Hey Geoffrey, awesome to see you here. Some very nice sounds, love the mix. Really like the xylophoney sound around 2:11, sounds like a doorbell when it enters. Dig the way it falls apart a bit at the end. More please! :)
I'm learning to 'listen' to the 'flow' of life all around me and not get so caught up in little things that don't really matter.
Learning to enjoy! Life is good...
The river runs
and i look into it
i see myself
in a million faces there…
Comments on Sudara's stuff
Brilliant arrangement...great listen. Favoriting.
all of the compositions are wonderful - I feel emotion from your work.

Totally pro. Nice cover.
Yes, incredible song. One of the few that really makes my heart palpitate - and not just because I have paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia, haha.
Those hang drums are tough to get your hands on. Sounds great, hangman!
Props not only for the production, playing and singing, but for sending one out to your mom - class act.
it's such a cute song! :]

A *sweet* tune guys, really enjoying this, and I'm only on minute 3. Awesome. Found this via "Songs I haven't heard" on the radio.
I've got this cranked up, blasting through the house. Thanks!
