Back in 2023, a bunch of us RPMers got together in Milton NH to celebrate the Birthday of Tim Alexander. We recorded a couple of our tunes and this one brand new song.

With Jarrett Osborn on drums, Wilson NG on acoustic, Tim Alexander on guitar, DB on bass and myself doing keys, lead guitar and vocals. We recorded the drums, bass, electric Rhythm, Electric Lead, and acoustic live. We kept the third take. The keys, vocals and additional guitars were added later.

The song is about my own self deprecation. Being lost and pulling away. It seems like music is about doing it yourself in a digital space. Being a part of something like a group of musicians is no longer necessary. And I hate it.

LYRICS
Verse I
There’s so much more to this than I
Had ever expected here
We’re going down in flames so fast,
Faster than I feared

I only wanted interactions
I feel its all but gone
We’re now that ones who walk alone

Chorus
(Whoa) I feel so invisible
(Whoa) Like I am not here at
(Whoa) Can’t go on like this
Something has got give
I breathing life into regret

Verse II
Starting to feel like its all my fault
Don’t know what it became at all
Didn’t we rely
Can we start again

We used to rely on interactions
now we hide in the digital
Feels like we ever had it all

Bridge
Feels nothing like it did before
Im not the only one that’s upset
I can’t breathe
Feels like we’re all done

And the fall is all we start to know
It’s like we we’re never here at all
There’s no where to turn

And I breath in the light of some
And I don’t care as long as we’re not alone
Still feels like nothing I had before

feels nothing like before
If you’re listening, know that I feel it too

This rocks... impassioned vocals, poignant lyrics. I like the fact the track (or at least the backing track) was recorded live in-person in spite of the subject matter.
