This is a smooth jazz piece built around Norm Harris' percussion using Garritan Jazz and Big Band sample set with the Aria player and a touch of tonehammer's Francesca sample set. Something Norm and I did last April.
Scored for upright bass…
I had not touched my keyboard for a long time - couple months? So it was inspiring to play it again. I set it up in the living room of the new house and played pianoteq on my laptop using a Just Intonation tuning (below). Actually I had to improvise…

That bass is simply too cool. I love what you have done with this pattern. Almost has an eastern feel in places...
Having grown up near Winfield, KS (home of Dorothy), I can assure you that they have never heard anything like this before - they'd love it! They'd probably bake you a pie for the opportunity to do a little "scat" vocalization on the mix, and, afterwards, while tending to the livestock, they would ponder about the possibility of there actually being 3 kinds of music: country, Western & JAZZ.

Hi - thought I'd throw up an older piece today while I have time (doing work at the new house later). This is an improvisation with my Fender Mustang / Roland GR-20 combination retuned on the fly to 9 notes per octave "Sorog" tuning. I think…

Yes, as a matter of practicality one performs with volume greater than the actual Fender (headphones to the GR-20, amplification of the Roland GR-20 ) - although I have mixed the "normal" and "new" tunings together and in some cases that sounds nice and fairly unique.

So when you are playing this song on the Fender Mustang, you are hearing it in Sorog tuning, right? But the note that you are playing on the guitar is changed to another pitch by the Roland, so you must have the headset plugged into the Roland output, right?
Reg is leaving in the morning...there's a great big world out there to see....Acoustic & Voice trying to play that Bb Harp.........
I can’t play it safe (Lyrics
i can hear you say you want to play it safe

damn, I'm floored. This is perfect and you are becoming an incredible song writer. All the right stuff in all of the right places - its that special sound man, you got it! Knock 'em dead!
I've been sent to the cellar by the wife as she has a visitor...bad luck hey!...so i got the acoustic down of the wall and even tried a little harmonica...hope you enjoy........
Over the Hills and far away (Lyrics)
over the hills and far away…
Just a little cover tune I did in preparation for last year's live RPM Challenge album "Letters."
Nylon string Yamaha travel guitar, vocals, and one mic... Missed notes and all.
we all have cover a Pink Floyd song at some point, and the only way to cover a perfect song is to make it completely different. Deep down, I think everyone was hoping the wall was not too high, and the song could end on a happy note of breaking…
This is one of my more agressive industrial-ish tunes. There's also an orchestral version done by vaisvil; it should be somewhere in his gigantic list of tracks...I'll see if I can find it and post a link.

I’m in room 52
and i honestly don’t know what to do
you’ve taken…
lots of different things I tried in this one, mostly in structure and vox, as well as harmony and texture. I guess it is a progressive type song with some gloom.
the intro is a short bass thing with effects called nectar, its like 25 sec.s…
RPM #2, first thank you all for the comments on rpm 1,, once again i forage into the world of midi orchestration,,, while i am beginning with strings and woodwinds,, this is a section from a string piece i am working on,, that somehow led me to…
Reg is fed up with being judged on his mental health..Care in the community...what a joke...track no3 for the RPM......

I do say it seems you've added a great deal more Tension since the last revision I heard.
Always loved this song! Here is the CSO version http://alonetone.com/vaisvil/tracks/tension-acoustic-orchestral
