I'll always come by to listen to the music of Middle-Earth. Perfectly captured Elven voice sound! Oh... And make sure you get in touch with an Elf that still prefers to speak Quenya if you ever get the chance to record a real one (the high-Elven speech really is quite beautiful although the Sindarin tongue has it's own elegant flow).
Very cool song (coming from this card-carrying Tolkien disciple). Well done!

Chris, pretty nice, nice deep mellow sound on the bass,,,,the voice is also pretty good, i think i like it better than that of symphonic instruments,,,but i have not found myself doing well, ever, when trying to work with solo voice,,, i enjoyed this R

i like the way the lead guitar notes blend, is this an effects pedal? (perhaps im showing my ignorance,, oh well) in fact it seems as if many notes are bent/blended in this piece,, very cool,,,, by the way, just for reference, which CM did you say ,, i enjoyed this a lot

love the sound of the slowed percussion each beat seems to shake...sounds like musical devastation the twisted sounds in the silence after something major just happened...an earthquake or Tornado...with a man in a Pink Tuxedo running around crazed in the wreckage looking for his lost Bride.......
Fisherman and the Siren by Lord Frederic Leighton
This is a blues collaboration between The TwoRegs (vocals / lyrics) and Norm Harris (percussion) and myself (17 note per octave electric guitar and fretless bass).
We hope you enjoy it…

Norm has been teaching a master's class in percussion and gave me (a lot!!) of guidance to try to add bass properly to this. I added 5 string bass, Fender Mustang and GR-20 sax to his excellent Tumbao track. We hope you enjoy it.
My Life has Become
I have all of these memories

I don't know what to do
I don't know what I should do with them
Out of nowhere they cover me...

I played 12 string guitar and 5 string bass along with Norm's original percussion track http://alonetone.com/norm/tracks/7th-son. The only effects were a bit of attack shaping on the bass (compression w/o compressing).
I did this kind of oddly…

Another oldie as I work on other stuff. State of the art PC sound in 1991 was the Adlib card with one OPL2 FM synthesis chip w/o audio capability. Limiting as that was I still had a lot of fun with it. This is one example - I love that lo-fi…

(Ha! Had to laugh as the 7 sec. mark of this one has that "squeak" sound that I have previously misinterpreted in other songs as being a squeaky bass drum foot pedal... what do I know about computer generated music?)
This is just a bit of silly fun I had one day with a four-track cassette recorder...about 9 years ago (yup...another lost find fro the racks). Just blowin' off some steam on a day off in my little apartment of Tokyo. On first listen-back...it…

Started out be an innocent little jazzy study in quartal harmony, but the DL4 was still in my signal path and things went downhill from there! Another done with my beloved '58 Stratotone
my dad at one time helped with a radio show - if I remember correctly Tilden High School in Chicago had a radio transmitter. This would have come from there. My son traced this back to about 1923. My father tended to bring things home from where he worked, etc. He even brought home, as far as I could tell, the entire Data General railroad traffic controlling computer - vintage early 70's - the programs were loaded via punched paper tapes - when it got replaced. And no, it wasn't used on this piece. Ben has it. But at 1000 Hz he should be able to get it work if he feeds it the right kind of electricity.
This is a remix of an improvised track I did for our first RPM album. For this new mix, I got rid of the vocals & added a most excellent electric guitar part by our good friend, Chris Mitchell. He listened to the track just once and proceeded…

Really like this.
I'm surprised the rhythm pattern holds up as well as it does being slowed down 5X - I like the reverb that you have added. Wild stuff!
For the prices Club Med charges, I had expected a somewhat happier sounding place!

Wow...goin' OUT! Love it...T-rex meets Tom Waits for a beautifully gnarly blues-brawl.

Most enjoyable bluesy collab. Cool vox from Reg.
Enjoyed the jazzy feel given by the sax. Super cool collab.

What do you have in your ambient rig? I am enjoying your work!
Hi Bethan - I have no idea who played it - but they did an excellent job. The midi file I found somewhere in the 90's.
