Rumba Columbia is a traditional Cuban pattern in 6: the "go-to" pattern for 12/8 - if you have only heard one Afro-Cuban rhythm in 12/8, this is probably it. As an energetic Afro-Cuban dance, Rumba was often suppressed and restricted because it…
I picked up on one of Norm's wonderful grooves.
I added some bass, guitar, horns, and a basic drum track. Kicker and snare with a few cymbols. I didn't want to walk on Norm's fine, fine, percussion.
Thanks Norm for allowing me the opportunity…
A second version with the initial lead guitar standing alone...a little cluttered after a few listens and some constructive feedback!
Norm's Groove for St Monica inspired this one. Thanks Norm!
Lead Guitar, bass guitar and acoustic guitar…
A long over due changing of the acoustic strings led to this epic production. 40 tracks and 34 plug-ins. Good Gravy that's a boat load of tracks. All kinds of stuff happening.
Enjoy!

Great piano sound...
another excellent alonetone artist that just dropped out of sight...

I miss my Alister! :(
Fabulous track that stands the test of time: great sounds, great feel.
Brilliant.
very nice sound tiles
Still fresh and new, once again. Outstanding.
Good stuff
Excellent. Nice work!
Great mix very cool track.
Love this one....still.
Still can't believe it! We finished it!!!!HA!!! ;) Had to break out the "good stuff" and and have a few drinks with my wife to celebrate.:)
deep zigzag pulses into my brain, someone pull me under!
This is deeply psychedelic & very much appreciated. Highly transportational.
cool layers added on and on. percussion is very interesting
Like all the tonal contrast going on, and the analog (?) synths.
Love it! I like it the best around the 5 minute mark.

so creative and unique, in many ways.. - and quite an unusual "style" for you ;)
ahahah excellent! was meant to happen, i guess..
i'm sorry but.. where is the cuica? :p - ok, ok, joke aside, this is as good as some martinez & herrera jam!
oh surprise, surprise! and quite an unexpected direction: funky and orchestral, that's a sweet retro-flavored piece! :)
takes a bit of time to settle in, but after the 1st minute, it's just tasty! excellent jammin'!
super fly.. great play and very groovy! mi gusto mucho!
wow! that's some crazy tribalistic dark pop, epic in places, and this primitive "uuhh!" is excellent!
funny how rumba turned into some 50s rock&roll :)
whether one likes this genre or not, that is certainly a very entertaining song, in its most musical sense. bravo!
where is the cuica? :p
ahahaha, excellent!!
pretty good! could you tell more about the production?
excellent!! really not my usual cup of tea, lately, but this is way too good to not be faved at once!
ahahaha!! excellent! :)
brilliant, most brilliant! your motif is very evocative - and the playing is carrying a lot of emotions..
brings me memories of some retro film noirs from the 50s - and the mismatch with the kid(?) voice is excellent..
i can hear the pachyderms, but where is the mouse? :p
nice flow - is that true story?
excellent fuss..
interesting soundscape, with some good sceneries. - are your hiatus between each sequence intentional?
