A new one...
I wrote it on 5th February, and managed to record it in less than a month (a head-cold and lack of hearing in one ear slowed the last lap somewhat).
But seeing as the last one took over 8 months, I think I'm already ahead for…

This is really good stuff. Songwriting firmly placed in late 70's art rock/pop, which is a very good place to be, if you ask me. Contemporary, skilled production makes for a tasty sound palette and a very enjoyable listening experience. Bravo!
This song has been sat on the marvellous mechanical mouse organ in the broom-cupboard for well over a year.
A few weeks ago I got a bit of a scare - the mouse organ nearly broke down (in the middle of sorting out Delta Dawn). While I was fixing…

I dig the classic flavor of this one. Some choice bass runs. Groovy lyrics. Great vocal delivery. Superb mix-down skills. Thanks for checking out "niaR" on my Gene Eric Mann profile. Hear it as "Rain" on my Nightmoth profile. Rock on!
Pop-rock tale about a character in a novel that I fancied. Recorded in 2009 on a Boss MBR.

Theres a crazy girl
Looks about my age
Hiding out on the second page
Waiting for the story to unfold…
I wrote this thing in 1994. When I played it to some friends back then they went "yeah, but where's the rest of it?"
I've been struggling with that concept ever since. Then, a while ago, a couple of kindly souls removed that worry from me…

A song about my wife. Recorded 2005.
I'd just taught myself how to play piano (badly).
I'd always wanted to be Freddie Mercury when I was younger... still got a bit of a ways to go.

Electric blues. Recorded 2007. I was learning how to use my DAW and trying to figure out how a one-man-band could get to sound like a bunch of old bluesers in a sweaty bar...

I've been messing around playing guitar from time to time... I came up with some progressions and thought maybe I should lay down some tracks since I haven't posted in a while. I found the beginnings of some lyrics I had jotted on my iPhone and…
I just acquired a five string banjo. It was broken and I did a lot of work to it. It is now playable, though I'm waiting on some parts (the 5th string tuner is no good so it only has 4 strings, and I have to tune of of those 4 using vise grips…
Yes - Like it. Really works like this.
I want to get a banjo, but I'm filled with trepidation over what sort to get - so I keep putting it off.
This has re-awakened the urge.
This is one that I started with a synth progression and over the week it grew....
Everything is in there but the kitchen sink I think. Used midi for GB synth sounds, choirs, bass, Kontakt strings and organ, piano, horns, sax lab for sax, godin…

Music and Lyrics by OsCKilO 2013
I had never seen a place so cold...
Glad I don't live there any more.
Happy that I like the simple life...
Bright lights.
Sun and Moon.
Any Star that lead away from you.
Now I move on, not moved…
Just me and my acoustic.
I've just learned how to record both at the same time.
I didn't know this song the day before this recording.
It was done in one take, with dodgy guitar playing, wrong lyrics and sore throat :)
from the jail cell came a song from the condemned .......

i was a warrior from mars

This is the title track off my second album. That means it's not a new track, or recording. It was written in summer of 2012 and recorded around October or November of that year. But it had not been put up here and I thought I would share it…
A little sick; but couldn't resist.

Cool version.
Nice one. I like everything-but-kitchen-sink music anyway (well, I can't not, can I?!), love how you've fitted it all together. Gorgeous track.
Oh yes, love it. Around two minutes, the stuff on the right (I'm in headphones) scared the crap out of me!! I actually ducked as it appeared lol
Aww, this is fabulous.
Yo T :-) Good to hear some new stuff from you. Like it.
Oops! Wrong account... that was me :-) Yeah... love the vocal

Nice one, like the chorus a lot.
Glad you couldn't resist. Love it.
Don't know the original, but I like this version.
Yep, cool RPM. Nice one. Digging the Stones and Crowes type boogie.
