A tale of keeping your head above the water, or not...
Recorded Jan-Feb 2011.
I wrote it many years ago, never thought I'd ever do anything with it.
I intended to record this with just an acoustic and my new EDB (electric upright bass…
Great track! It's really hard to pull off the one man band thing convincingly, but you did a hell of a job of it here. Great vocals! Drums sound like the real thing too.
Acoustic tale recorded Christmas 2010.
I wrote it years ago. Even tried rehearsing it with the band I was in at the time. But I couldn't play it properly. It took several weeks of practicing DADGAD (never really used it in anger before) until…

Geez, you have a great voice! I love your sense of drama in your tracks. I don't know it you used real or programmed drums, but they sound great. This is a great song, and on my fave's list now too.

What a tune...what an imagination you have! I love the tone on the guitar, not to mention the playing. Great vox and background harmonies. This is just awesome. Very impressed.

Recorded Oct 2010.
It was meant to be a full band pop-rock song. But I started overdubbing on the original exploratory demo I'd done to work out the arrangement (with no click track). I kept coming back to it intending to start afresh... but…
Pop-rock song. Recorded 2009.
I wrote this several years earlier and rehearsed it with the last band I was in.
The recording was my first "serious" project on my Boss MBR, I was stunned that you could do something like this on a little silver…

Easter 2010 I decided…
Another wonderful track , I still think I can Here shades of Roy Harper in your music , and in my book that is a good thing , that isn't taking anything away from your songwriting , you are still very original

A cover of Justin Currie's Sleep Instead of Teardrops. Recorded 2010.
It has always been one of my favourite Del Amitri songs. I was strumming away at it one day and my missus said I should record it...
@ facemask - there's time yet! I hope... lol
There's a LOT of competition though... and to be honest, I only really started saying what I wanted when I gave up the idea of becoming famous!!

Easter 2010 I decided…
This one kind of sneaks up on me. First listen didn't grab me a lot - nice guitars and all, but...
Second listen, I was right there. Nice groove and cool song on top of it.
Well, don't know what the earlier version sounded like, but this sounds mighty fine.
Really nice song, as well. I don't write enough songs about my wife! (I'm kind of assuming that's who it's about)
Yeah, I can here all sorts of progression going on in these tracks. But even here you can tell you've got the ears. You've had a big effect on me the last few days - not sure what I'm recording next, but I can tell you the acoustic is sat on it's stand looking worried now!! lol
I was listening to the first wondering how you were going to get guitar and bass into it... and there they were :-)
Huge sound, works really well. Vocals get a bit lost in it for my money - but I was listening to the guitars by then!!
Keyboard and Electric Bass Guitar by Otis Maly, Percussion by Matt Santana
One of three tracks that my friend Otis jammed on during February 2012. This is the first mixdown I've done since he laid down the keys back in mid-February of 2012…
Apparently I'm a recent listener to this - I don't remember!!
I'm sure I would've remembered this. Lovely sound. Those keys are fabulous. I just shut my eyes and let it roll.
I love how he was so into it that he kept playing bass and keys even after the track had finished. And a cool touch to leave it on.
Nice work guys.

Oh yeah, count me in on the chorus of approval for this voice... and on the "can we have more please?" :-)
At the moment, Andrew's wife is lying on the sofa, eating a banana and prevaricating over whether she actually knows someone called Roger or not...
Er... yours, not mine that is!! lol

Woo... running out of superlatives to use here. Haven't heard a track I didn't like yet.
Very nice take on this one.
Yep one of my favourites too
I just KNEW you must have done this one at some point :-) Lovely version
Hey here's another one! Cool track. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to the new ones.
That's a MIGHTY bass sound. A fine set of new songs.
Yep :-)
I love the riff in the middle. Ah, it comes back at the end :-)
That was a surprise, for two reasons: 1) I came in expecting some rocking. 2) I really liked it! Nice one

Back for another listen. I was wondering whether the shine would have worn off after a few days... NAH! It's still wonderful :-)
