Recorded Oct 2010.
It was meant to be a full band pop-rock song. But I started overdubbing on the original exploratory demo I'd done to work out the arrangement (with no click track). I kept coming back to it intending to start afresh... but…

Another wonderful track , I still think I can Here shades of Roy Harper in your music , and in my book that is a good thing , that isn't taking anything away from your songwriting , you are still very original

A cover of Justin Currie's Sleep Instead of Teardrops. Recorded 2010.
It has always been one of my favourite Del Amitri songs. I was strumming away at it one day and my missus said I should record it...
@ facemask - there's time yet! I hope... lol
There's a LOT of competition though... and to be honest, I only really started saying what I wanted when I gave up the idea of becoming famous!!

So my lovely wife bought me a guitar this week... I started by learning some basic and easy chord shapes and this song came together. It's the first one I've done where everything is played by me.
It also features my voice on lead and backing…
Catching up here... Saw the comment from Sister Savage about vocals at last... and YESS! ... I'd been wondering what your vox would be like ... perfect! (even with the restrictions of iphone). Looking forward to when you get reunited with the kit and finish the other tracks... Meanwhile, love the dreamy vibe on this one.
So, when the current unpleasantness is over, are the MTBottles gonna tour? Mrs R says she expects to catch you at C2C at the O2 in the UK next year... she might even get me out of the house too if you were on the bill

I was asked (told?) to upload something happy. Hmmm, I thought. This will end well...
So, a few days later, I was rehearsing a pleasant little thing I wrote several years ago that has a working title of "She Was…
This is from the band Sam Mann and The Apes sometime in the mid later 80's. Brilliant guitar work from Al Teman. Great playing and singing from a top knotch Hollywood strip band.

Who says 3/4 time can't rock? This was originally from my 2013 RPM Challenge when, for some strange reason, pretty much everything I did just worked. Even the crappy songs from that album are less crappy than usual.
This song is as close…
Rocks! .... in 3s! I tend to use 3s for folksie/balladie things (one coming soon I suspect, the way things are panning out here) ... but I've never really tried to rock in 3s... this proves it can be done!! :) As ever, mighty cool guitars.
Oh yeah, like! Love the sounds, and how it builds. And then down for a second go. And the arrangement... always new ideas but not excessive and not all at once... you're keeping me interested all the way through. Love it. Looking forward to hearing more. Welcome :)
Like it! Love those chords. And I love how the tension goes up and down - a big release at the start of the chorus, and then it gradually grabs you again as the chorus completes and we're back into another verse. I was wondering how it would feel at the end... and it's perfect. Off to watch the video now :)
Another re-recorded 2014 50/90 song. This one was written on or about July 4th as New England was about to get spanked by Hurricane Arthur. I tend to write about hurricanes a lot. Weird.

Great tune.

This is another goodie from you guys - loving what you're doing :)
This is utterly utterly FAB, btw ... I've only ever bought two albums off bandcamp, and this is one of them :)
@Jane So dead puppies and 3-In-One in the knicker drawer is ok then? LOL
When are YOU going to do some more stuff? (pretty please) :) :) :)
A rocking return!! We're wondering where you got the loops from? Is it FDR? Is he still about??? I miss him too...
I knew you wouldn't be able to resist!! You missed the bright lights and adulation of alonetone didn't you!!!! :)
Funky rock. Yes indeed. And the lyrics LOL - thems were the days :)
Oh yes!! Rocks - and a sax solo over a Van Halen-esque track. Brilliant. And the breakdown after that is superb. So you were vox? Mighty cool.
Yes. Love it.

My wife just ran in from the kitchen "is this a cover??? I KNOW this" - yep, I said, Kiki Dee... She's singing along with you now :) ... cool version
Yep, that works. Digging the guitars.
There's a nice relaxed but insistent groove on this one - kinda lends a certain inevitability to the lyrics.
Woo. That rocks. Some blistering guitar.
